Shonai obi (sash) hand-woven of cotton for warps and paper yarn for wefts. It is made in Shonai region in Yamagata prefecture in Tohoku district. It is dyed with vegetable indigo and has beautiful tassels in both ends. In excellent condition except for a few tiny stains. The first half of the 20th century. 29cm x 3m56cm
Beautiful milky white glass vase with enamel paintings of brightly colored birds perched upon branches, with budding flowers of blue, yellow, and pink, and a thin ring of gold around the the mouth. Stamped and signed in back and marked on bottom.

A child's shirt front from Ghazni province, circa early to mid 1960s, probably from Jaghori or Katawaz. Densely embroidered in extremely fine brick and satin stitch in silk thread on purple silk, the lozenge patterns are framed by Bokhara couching, where the metallic threads are laid in parallel and then fastened with tiny stitches, forming a relief pattern. Blue beads surround the edges, to protect against the evil eye...

Huanghuali altar table decorated with carved decorations. The altar table has a square maize design repeated around the base of the table. The legs are decorated with carved panels of dragons climbing through clouds. The Huanghuali table top is very beautiful with strong grain patterns. Late Republic period.
The size measures 33.5" tall 64" long 16" deep.

Modern Georgian sterling silver mustard pot. Made by Webster Company in North Attleboro, Mass., ca 1950. Cobalt glass bowl set in sterling silver base with pierced ornamental band. Cover raised with vasiform finial. With spoon. Base and spoon marked “Sterling” with maker’s stamp. Very good condition.
