Art Deco 950 silver ice bucket. Made by Tetard Freres in Paris, ca 1930. Trapezoidal with applied rim and two rectangular supports mounted to stained-wood. Sides gently convex with fashionable skyscraper motif. Fully marked with Minerva head and maker’s mark. Very good condition.

Studio Japanese porcelain vase with bulbous body, wide shoulders and delicate Kakiemon palette enamel decoration of flowering chrysanthemums issuing from rocks. Great potting, underglaze blue painting of the rocks, fantastic quality painting with red, lilac, blue, yellow and 2 shades of green enamels, in excellent condition. Signed on the bottom KISEN in underglaze blue. Height 8 1/2 inches, diameter at the widest 7 1/4 inches.

Bold Buncheong Tea Bowl by the Last Korean Princess, Yi Bangja (1901 - 1989). The white slip is applied in powerful brushstrokes in the style of Joseon Dynasty potters. The chrysanthemums have their ancient symbolism for prosperity multiplied with the many flowers painted on the bottom of the bowl. Diameter: 5.5 inches, 14 cm. Height: 2.5 inches, 6 cm. Japanese Hima Doll Miniature Kimono Trunk, 1930-1940, 3" high, 6" wide, 3" deep, white impressed embossed metal mounted, Lacquer Gold floral and vine scroll design, handle in front is missing.

Large mask, large triangular nose in a lighter shade with some whitish traces, beautiful and old black patina on the entire mask. the mouth shows large sculpted teeth which reveal the tongue. Probably Eastern Nepal. Very hard wood H 41.5 cm

Deco in feeling this all-over fringe purse is charming and in perfect condition inside and out. For a collector, a user, or both. 7" wide, 6" long, strap measures 14" end to end.

This jade (nephrite) carving is a mid-20th century product. It is 3” high, 2 ¼” wide (measured from the widest part) and 1” thick. It depicts a playful monkey climbing on top of two pomegranates; a small RuYi (如意) scepter with LingZhi (靈芝) ends rests on the back of the carving. It is in great condition.

This boy's coat resembles the famous green chapan worn by Hamid Karzai, the current President of Afghanistan. These coats are worn in Central Asia including Uzbekistan, Afghanistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, etc. This chapan is woven in silk with a blue cotton shibori inside lining in plain weave, with the inside lapel in brown cotton corduroy. It measures 92.5 cm across the top, from sleeve end to sleeve end. The sleeve opening measures 21 cm...

Finely detailed woman’s full length three paneled tube sarong from Ende, Flores Island, Indonesia. I bought this in 1988, this was used when I bought in Ende and has remained in storage since then. All natural dyes and handspun, hand woven cotton. Pristine condition with soft and comfortable weave. W: 150cm/59in and L: 1400cm/55in.

Excellent quality decoration in Japanese taste, lower part and cover fired beautiful pink color, superb finely crackled glaze. Stamped with a potter’s mark by the foot and signed and stamped on the original wooden box by the potter WAZEN KITAMURA, blue wrapping cloth...

Early Showa (1930s) Japanese obidome (sash ornament) of round shape with engraved flowers. Obidome is worn on an obi cord that holds the obi sash together, is the only type of jewelry worn by Japanese women on formal occasions, and could serve as netsuke as well. Very nice work, beautiful patina. Metal fitting on the back with two loops for an obi cord. Diameter 1 1/8 inches.
