Early Carder Steuben gold Aurene vase with ruffled rim. The 3 1/4 inch tall vase measures 4 inches across the rim, is signed “Aurene 162" and has the soft early coloration of the early production pieces. There is a polished pontil and a stretched onion skin effect on the rim. The piece is in excellent condition.

Antique Persian Baluch rug, 100% hand woven wool in rust brown, light red, and indigo hues, with repeating geometric motifs throughout. These rugs are hand-knotted by the nomads of Baluch. Baluch or Baluchistan is the area between the borders of Iran, Pakistan, and Afghanistan-- this is why Baluch rugs are said to be a mixture of three different regions.

There are four identical embroideries in this framed picture. These are early 20th century products. Every piece is about 5 ½ inches by 5 ½ inches. The gold frame is 18 ¼ inches long and 18 inches wide. It depicts five young boys, the one in the center is riding on a Qilin, others are on the corners and holding flowers and fruit in their hands. There are some chips on the frame and small scratches on the plexi-glass, but the embroideries are in good condition.

French Majolica plate by Cerenne, Vallauris, 1950's. Relief moulded and brightly painted decoration of sea food, the animals forming reserves for six oysters. Charles René Roger Neveux ("Cerenne" = CRN) was the leader of one of the most popular ceramic studios in Vallauris. Diameter "10/ 25,5 cm. Condition: a few minimal chips and a small restoration to the rim as seen on photo.

American Modern sterling silver picture frame. Retailed by Cartier in New York. Rectangular window in same surround with convex front and flat sides. Midcentury chic in hard-to-find landscape form. A superb example of American folk art at its finest, this cane or walking stick is large and dramatic, featuring a polychromed hand holding an egg, above an applied metal collar that is embossed with linear designs, and painted gold. Measures 38 1/2" high, 3" wide at the hand, and 2" deep. The hand section is 6 3/4" high, the metal collar band 2 3/8". The staff is incised with horizontal marks, some deep, and the shaft has a deep red brown stain, with lighter wood visible in a few spots where...

Early 20th century Chinese stone carving of a boy playing his bamboo flute while sitting on a resting buffalo. Nice details, excellent condition. Approximately 9.5 inches long x 5" high.

The Manhattan pattern was produced by Hocking Glass Company from 1939 to 1941. Its clean, deco lines makes it very popular with today's collectors. Although this isn't listed with Manhattan in the catalogs, Hocking produced this cookie jar as a 'go with' item for the pattern. It was made during the same time period and sold along with Manhattan. This porcelain demitasse set was produced in Germany by Rosenthal in 1930. The marking was used for this year. The set consists of a pot measuring 8 inches high with the lid, a sugar bowl with lid that is 6 inches across the handle and 3 1/2 inches high, a cream pitcher that measures 3 3/4 inches high and 6 cups that are 1 1/2 inches high and 6 saucers with a diameter of 4 1/8 inches. The set is decorated in the Art Deco style. There are stylized floral designs trailing across each piece...

Terrific Gorham silverplate figural shot glass in the form of an early American leather fire bucket. The front side is enameled with the emblem of the Chicago Fire Department surrounded with the words “Little Giant Engine Co. 1871”. The back side is modeled to show the leather handle. The bottom is marked “Gorham EP YC3098 CAP 3oz.” Origin: America, ca. 1955. Condition: excellent, no dings, minute wear to enamel on word "Fire Dept". Size: 2-3/4” tall.
