In 1965 "THE WORLD OF SPRATLING" museum exhibit touring the U.S. included this design in their collection. Rosewood and sterling silver are used in this ovoid piece which stands 1 3/4" high & 4 3/4" long. The tray is in beautiful condition. It is pictured on Phyllis Goddards spratlingsilver.com and in MEXICAN Silver by Penny Morrill and Carole Berk. Spratling 1950's hallmarks are on the underside.
This art object by Tapio Wirkkala for IIttala, number 3572, was in production from 1954 to 1957. This piece was produced in 1957. It measures 3 3/8" (10cm) tall and is 3" (8cm) in diameter. On the underside is etched TAPIO WIRKKALA IITTALA 3572-57. Mint condition.

A Kuchi dress from Afghanistan from the second half of 20th century. The dress bodice has a front slit with button closure, and dense silk embroidery adorns the bodice, sleeve ends, and bottom hem. The embroidery is mostly satin stitch, with ladder stitch and herringbone stitch on black cotton. The embroidered sleeve bands and bottom embroidered band are 2 inches in width. The printed fabric is cotton, with small turquoise, yellow and red motifs on a black background...
A small Chinese inkstone carved from a Duan like stone. The inkstone is carved to portray a landscape view with the basin area of the stone to form a pond or lake. Often Chinese inkstones will allude to literary themes for scholars to enjoy.

A large Chinese soapstone vase carved in deep relief featuring 5 birds feeding on a peony vine. In excellent condition, it measures 7.5" high by 8.5" across.
Japanese vintage original 12 pc. silverware set with five spoons, five two prong forks, and a butterknife and scalloped spoon. Each piece in the set is stamped on the handle with Martian mark, trademark of Sato Shoji, Japan. Four of the pieces show natural patina from being exposed to oxygen. Included with original storage box marked Espoir on the lid.

Very well crafted dish enameled with a Japanese cherry blossom tree, with two brass handles, with marks to the base, late 19th century period. Approx. 11 1/2 by 7 5/8 in., 29.3 by 19.5 cm. No imperfections observed.
This lovely vase by Tapio Wirkkala, part of his Kantarelli series, measures 4 1/2" high and is 1 3/8" in diameter at the base. On the underside is etched TAPIO WIRKKALA IITTALA - 55. Excellent condition.
These 3 porcelain figurines were produced in Germany by Hutschenreuther in the late 1940s. They are about 4 inches tall. They are made of hard paste porcelain that has a slight cream tinge. The cherubs are standing on gilded balls. They are well modeled with fine detail with a strong art deco influence. Each one is playing a musical instrument. They are a jolly little trio.

Fostoria made these lustres from 1930-40. A simple 4.5" base rising to an 8.5" stick with attached bobeche cascading with hanging crystals. This pair are in excellent condition, the tips of the crystals are best described as weathered, not sharp but obviously dulled by time. The sticks are yellow with permanently attached bobeche. Pattern #2436 is are considered RARE.
DESCRIPTION: A large, vibrant Churro wool blanket from the weaving center of Chimayo in Northern New Mexico. This finely woven blanket is of the "Rio Grande" style with alternating bands of white and navy stripes running across a bright red ground. These bands are each separated by a line of three stars with twelve points. Stippled Band was the first toy dish pattern produced by Akro Agate. The transparent topaz color pictured here was only made in 1935-6 and is very difficult to find. This 16 piece set is the Small size Stippled Band and includes the teapot and lid, 4 plates, 4 cups & saucers, sugar & creamer.
