This is a handsome pair of Indian hand-carved ivory spice holders. Each unscrews into three sections. The removable perforated tops have elephant finials and the largest section is heavily carved with a scene of a lion pursuing a fawn. Measurement: Height: 4 1/2 inches. Condition: very good.

A pair of decorative table cloths made by Pashtun women, with mirrored, beaded discs ("gul-i-peron") on each corner which serve as protective amulets. The blue bead edging is typical of Pashtun textiles, and is used extensively on purses and clothing as a prophylactic against the evil eye.
