China old horn standing man xx

This is a handsome pair of Indian hand-carved ivory spice holders. Each unscrews into three sections. The removable perforated tops have elephant finials and the largest section is heavily carved with a scene of a lion pursuing a fawn. Measurement: Height: 4 1/2 inches. Condition: very good.

Reliquary figure carved in the shape of a standing female, with typical coiffe, serene face with scarifications on forehead, conical breasts, hands joined at abdomen level. The statue is resting on a large wood lid, on which it is affixed with soil material. The reliquary box itself is missing. Wood, with partly encrusted dark patina. Africa, Gabon, Punu Peoples. Boro hanten noragi made of cotton with stripes and plain which are vegetable indigo dye. It has two layers of cloth and sashiko all over. The shape of sleeves is "makisode. The frist half images are inside out. The first half of the 20th century. 128cm x 87cm

A large Japanese framed print by renown artist Mayumi Oda, born 1941. Mayumi is most well known for her depictions of male Buddhist deities presented as women. This silkscreen print is titled "Daikoku", normally a male, the god of good luck and fortune. The title, number 22/40, and Mayumi's signature are done in pencil along the bottom margin. The print itself is tastefully framed behind special UV blocking glass. Circa 1984...

A pair of decorative table cloths made by Pashtun women, with mirrored, beaded discs ("gul-i-peron") on each corner which serve as protective amulets. The blue bead edging is typical of Pashtun textiles, and is used extensively on purses and clothing as a prophylactic against the evil eye. Silk thread in vibrant colors has been applied in mostly herringbone stitch on a pink cotton background with cording. Each panel measures 26.5 x 26.5 cm. Condition of the pair is excellent...

Line 700 was produced by Consolidated Glass Company in 1929. Offered here is the #710 8 inch salad plate in blue ceramic. The color is a light blue wash applied over crystal and then fired on to fuse it permanently to the surface of the glass. crystal.
