Very old face mask, of oval form, with minimalist cubistic features typical of this area. Strongly eroded wood, age patina. Indonesia, Timor island. Height: 31 cm. Mounted on a custom stand. Provenance: acquired in situ early 20th century, ex old Dutch collection.
Intricately carved face mask bearing horns, with features in relief, slit eyes, scarifications, stylised beard. Wood, with remnants of kaolin colouring on eyes, horns tips and coiffe. Fine Large Glazed Stoneware Jar - Malcolm Pepper
This impressive stoneware jar was made by Malcolm Pepper (1937 - 1980) during the 1970s. It is "heavily-potted" and very attractively decorated as our detailed images show; no further description is needed!

Old Chinese Famille Rose Porcelain Ji-Gong Monk
It is 11.2 inches (28.5 cm) tall by 8.9 inches (22.6 cm) wide. It is 4 Lb.
It has dark spots, chips at the leaves and fan, stains, hairline cracks at the bottom, repairs at the finger (glued back) and surface wears and scratches (as seen in the photos).

A finely carved lime box, its body in the form of a cone surmounting a flaring cylinder, decorated with three levels of an elaborate geometric design which is changing at each level. The stopper itself is decorated with two human heads back to back surmounting the neck adorned with a necklace. A bone spoon and a bone point are attached to the stopper, the link adorned with wood beads and tiny old glass beads. Fine age patina. Indonesia, Timor island. Height: 16.5 cm. Very good condition.

Netsuke of standing Jurojin (one of the 7 Gods of happiness, usually associated with longevity) holding a scepter with reishi fungus head, wearing a cape, a long robe and a spotted deer (the animal is a symbol of longevity) skirt. There is a nice detail for a netsuke lover - he is wearing an inro suspended by a manju netsuke. Excellent carving - see the detailing of his portrait quality face, incised fingernails, texture and spots of the deer skirt. Superb quality staining, beautiful patina...
Vintage Chinese soapstone small brush rest carved to represent a Taihu scholar’s rock with numerous perforations and crevices. Beautiful Yunnan pink soapstone with wonderful carving, compressed dust on the surface, in great condition. Wonderful object for a scholar’s desk. Length 2.82 inches, height 0.94 inches.

This is a set of five pretty Light Blue Tiffin Etched Sherbet Champagnes. We do not know the etched pattern name. Each Sherbet holds 8 Ounces and measures 5 7/8 Inches high X 3 5/8 Inches in diameter at the top. All five Sherbets are in very good condition with no chips, cracks or scratches.
