Healthy Japanese babies adorn this bright red juban. Made of light weight silk with equally light weight white silk lining, this woman's juban measures 48" across the shoulders (including sleeves) and 50" long. In very good condition, it dates early Showa, 1930, though the collar appears to be newer. This is a very cheerful under garment and would be a fun piece to wear as an outer garment.

This really pretty green Princess Depression Glass Cookie Jar or Cracker Jar with lid was made by Hocking Glass from 1931 to 1935. The Cookie Jar measures 5 inches in diameter X 7 inches high. This charming little girl's cap from Indus Kohistan measures 21 cm in diameter and 44 cm in circumference. It is densely embroidered in silk thread on black cotton, a combination of extremely fine cross stitch (petit point) and satin stitch forming geometric patterns. As well, the cap is embellished with decorative trinkets including buttons, embossed silver discs, glass beads and tiny brass bells and pendants which are considered to have amuletic power...

This inlayed Chinese ebony brush holder is 7” high and 6 ½” in diameter. It depicts a Shou Lao (god of longevity) holding a cane; a young boy carrying a flower basket stands behind him. Another young boy wearing a red robe is leading a deer cart filled with flowers and plants and walks in front of Shou Lao and his companion. The inlayed materials are dyed coral, mother of pearl, lacquer and hard stone. It is a 1950’s product. Aside from small age cracks, it is in great condition.

Consolidated Glass Company produced the Catalonian line in 1927. It was made to look like glass found in Catalonia Spain at the archaeological sites, and had bubbles and raised rings blown into the glass. This is the #1102 tri-vase in the emerald green color. The vase is approximately 10 inches high and in perfect condition. I have other items in this pattern available, just ask.

This beautiful shibori (tie-dye) is already cut to make a haori jacket. The skinny pieces under the arms are cut and attached by someone who knows what he is doing. It has not gone through Yunoshi, the process to stretch shibori using steam. The size of this gown is extremely small at this moment because a regular kimono roll (for short kimono) is used to make into shibori fabric. 36 inches x 16 1/2 inches long with 9 inches hemming tacked inside...

Rectangular cover for over a gift, called fukusa made of green (front) and purple (back) silk satin. On the front is an image of three turtles walking towards the water, with a bamboo grove in the back of them...

Japanese Washi Paper Book, Elementary School History Book, Ca. Miji 1895, 8 3/4" x 6 1/8" wide, 3/8" thick, approximately 56 pages of Japanese Kanji plus illustrations on double Washi Paper, the condition is good.

Nice collection of 6 vintage Seminole dolls, all early to mid 20th century, most with patchwork clothing, beads, and bright colors, all with classic hair styles. Two are earlier, made without any rickrack and are done with old calico fabric. The largest is 12 1/2", others measuring 10", 9 1/2", 9", 7 1/2", and the smallest at 4 1/4". Bodies made of palm material and are handsewn, the clothing is mostly machine stitched, some dolls have rickrack decoration. Sold as a collection only.

Japanese mid 20th century pure silver pair of cranes and bronze tortoise on large bronze base. The base is done as a small rocky hill with bamboo growing. Done in a wonderful design with great detail. Each crane is marked JUNGIN, or pure silver. The base is signed KATSUNORI, in back. The entire piece measures 22" wide, 18" tall and 14" deep.

Chinese hanging scroll of a monochrome painting of plum blossoms by Wu Hao (1948~). Wu Hao, started his education in Western art. Later, Wu Hao studied under Zhao Shao Ang, and studied the styles of the four great painters of the Song Dynasty, which he became noted for appropriating and utilizing the style in his works...

This is a rare, late 19th century American carved walking stick. This stick features two color glass eyes, a signed sterling collar and a Malacca weighted shaft. The ferrule is brass and doubles as a mechanism which lets a dog run in circles without tangling - how great is that? This ingenious stick measures 36 3/4 x 4 1/4 x 1 1/4. The ferrule measures 4 1/4", the collar 1" and the head measures 2 x 4 1/4 x 1 1/4...

A Chinese hanging scroll portraying a group of lotuses set in a marsh-like environment with a butterfly flying over the flowers. The work contains a seal and signature of the noted artist, Qi Baishi (1864-1957). Qi Baishi became famous through his independent studies in Chinese painting and his energetic brush strokes and styles evolved Chinese art in the 20th century. Age: Late 20th century Size: Height 86" Width 23"

It is 38.1 inches (97 cm) in circumference by 17.1 inches (43.5 cm) long. The pendant is 3 inches (7.7 cm) long by 4 inches (10.2 cm) wide.The smallest coral bead is 7.8 mm-8.4 mm. The largest coral bead 16 mm. The turquoise bead is 8.4mm-17mm. The total weight is 123.4 gram.

It has surface wears and scratches, loss of enamels, oxidation, tarnished silver...

Lovely Japanese Musician Dolls, high quality dolls made in Kyoto. The faces of the dolls are different from each other and they have more delicate feature than shown on the photos. Their clothings are made from beautiful brocades specially woven for dolls. The color of red is deeper than shown here. The size of the two dolls are 6 1/4 inches tall and the other three are approx. 5 inches tall. Circa 1930 to 1950.

Qing Dynasty Soapstone Shoushan Incised Poem Cup with mountainous and farm house scene . slight scuffs. Size h 2.5" by 3" diameter

Offered is this beautiful, large, Galle-type, French cameo glass vase, depicting a scenery. The vase is 11 3/4 inches (30 cm) tall and 4 1/2 inches (11,5 cm) wide. It is in good condition and has a broken pontil. It is signed in cameo (see last picture), though it is hard to decipher the signature.

Very well crafted Dutch repousse silver ashtray, this item has 6 1/4 inches in diameter, approx. 19.9 troy oz is the total weight, in good condition, needs cleaning. Provenance: from a New Hampshire estate.

Good brush painting of a tiger by the artist Li Shou Lin dated 1978. Painted in the traditional style water color and ink mounted on silk and heavy paper. Unfortunately the mounting paper has suffered mold damage while the painting itself was affected in a minor way in the form of some discoloration, having said this if framed with new matting the flaw is very negligible. Please examine enlargements- will be mailed in a cardboard tube...

Set of 6 Chinese jade and hardstone musical instruments, each on a matching rosewood stand. Instruments include a drum with a pair of drumsticks, gong with striker, cymbals, reed flute and 2 string instruments, one of them (erhu) with a bow. Very well made, in great condition.
