A silver spoon, the shape of traditional Russian type with a long handle and egg-shaped gilt bowl, the modernist pattern pointing towards the 1960’s. Russian (Soviet era) hallmark 875 with star and Cyrillic B plus another mark with the letters B and Yu. Weight 38 grams, length "6½/ 16,5 cm. Condition: a few scratch marks to the bowl.

This BaLin stone carving is a 1970’~1980’s product. It is 3 1/4” high, 3” wide and 1 ¼” thick. It depicts a dragon playing with a fire globe surrounded by lucky clouds. BaLin stone is produced in Chifeng city in Inner Mongolia. The mine was found and developed in the mid-20th century. Now, BaLin stone has become one of the principal materials for making seal stone or stone carving in China. This carving is in great condition.

Yuki-boshi (snow hat) or yuki-kabuto (snow helmet) made of palm tree fiber and vegetable indigo dye cotton inside. It has washi painted with Paulownia oil for waterproof, between outside and cotton indigo lining. It is from Shonai region in Yamagata prefecture in Tohoku district. It is said it was worn by "matagi", a hunter. The second half of the 19th century. In good condition with belts inside are left, which is rather rare. 40cm x 57cm

These four Minton Gold Ancestral dessert plates (#S 595) are quite handsome indeed. Each are marked on the back and also each has the Minton imprint. The brown-red transfer decoration of flowers and leaves is painted with turquoise and pink enamel to accent the flowers. Each plate is trimmed in gold and is in excellent condition. Measures 7 7/8" across the scalloped rim. Production dates: 1944-1976. Book price $45.00 a plate.

A wondreful Chinese wood panel with three goats, an auspicious symbol of peace, harmony and good fortune. The panel was painted with red lacquer and then gold gilt was applied. As a decorative piece it would look great over hung over a doorway or above a large painting. In very good condition, it measures just short of 24 inches long by 7 3/4" high.

The Florentine pattern was produced by Hazel Atlas Glass Company from 1932 to 1935. It was made with scalloped edges or straight edges. Although Hazel Atlas didn't distinguish one from the other, collectors today call the scalloped edge 'Florentine 1' and the straight edge style 'Florentine 2'. A vintage bronze Japanese Shishi or Fu Dog Okimono holding a spherical scrolling vine ball. Biting a decorative rope, its mouth is open to expel evil. Made in two parts, the sphere separates from the Shishi.

The Shishi is a mythical creature whose purpose to to protect Buddhism. Often seen at the entrance to Buddhist temples, it guards and protects believers of the faith.

These beautiful plates were designed by Reuben Haley and produced by the Consolidated Glass Company in the late 1920's. The pattern is called 'Bird Of Paradise' and is one of Consolidated's Martele patterns . Approximately 8 1/2 inches in diameter, the color is a sepia brown ceramic wash over crystal. Hand-carved Chinese natural chicken blood blank seal stone. Dimension: 75 x 20 x 20 (mm) or 2.95 x 0.79 x 0.79 inches with total weight 0.19 of lbs/85 grams. Bloodstone is cinnabar strips of dickite, its color is still red cinnabar. Since its color is as red as blood, it is called bloodstone. The earliest discovered bloodstone is Zhejiang Chang ?? rock pheasant bloodstone. Later it was found in Inner Mongolia Chifeng.
