The legs are decorated with carved panels of dragons climbing through clouds. The Huanghuali table top is very beautiful with strong grain patterns. Late Republic period. A young woman dressed in a white robe with red hakama pants is holding a folding fan and is posed to do a dance. This dress is often known as Shirabyoshi where these were sacred dances offered to the gods. The Avalokitesvara is dressed in vestments and accessories common to the figure of a Bodhisattva and has the water vessel which offers blessings to all sentient beings. The bodhisattvas are adorned with elaborate accessories often seen in images of bodhisattvas.
