This depression glass cream soup bowl is the Newport or Hairpin pattern. A signed Libbey silhouette series cat goblet. The stem is a “moonstone” (opalescent) figure of a cat. The wine glass is 7 inches tall and 3 inches in diameter. The Silhouette series by Libbey-Nash was produced in 1933 and consisted of 13 different animals. Each type of item (goblet, wine, sherry, compote, etc) used a different animal as a stem.
This type of tissue holder is called Hakoseko. They are still being used for very special ceremonial occasions. The older one in this quality is now a collecter's item.

This porcelain demitasse set was produced in Germany by Rosenthal in 1930. The marking was used for this year. The set consists of a pot measuring 8 inches high with the lid, a sugar bowl with lid that is 6 inches across the handle and 3 1/2 inches high, a cream pitcher that measures 3 3/4 inches high and 6 cups that are 1 1/2 inches high and 6 saucers with a diameter of 4 1/8 inches.
