Although the detailed design is similar, each of these Spratling candlesticks were handwrought a few years apart. Each carries specific Spratling hallmarks coinciding with their construction dates. The earlier example is 2 1/8" high. The later is 2 1/4" high. Each measures 2 1/4" across at the base. The pair weigh 155 grams. Both are in beautiful condition. Offered is a fabulous, very early example of Tramp Art- a style of woodworking which emerged in America in the latter half of the nineteenth century. Tramp Art features the use of multiple, small pieces of wood that are whittled into layers of geometric shapes whose outside edges are then notch-carved.

Pair of dramatic sterling silver seafood serving bowls. Made by Buccellati in Italy. Each: Two joined scallop-shells bowls on scallop-shell supports. A traditional form enlivened by the figure of an octopus squatting in the center, its curled and tangled legs draped over the bowls. A graphic contrast between the scales and suckers of the octopus and the controlled and stylized ornament on the shells. Very original...

Two stoneware tiles from the “Fritte” range, designed by Aldo Londi and produced by Bitossi in the 1950s for Illums Bolighus, famous design department store in Copenhagen. Impressed fish motif with fused glass – Italian “fritte” – one in Rimini Blu, the other a light olive green. Aldo Londi was the artistic leader of Bitossi. Both tiles marked Illums Bolighus and 715 B (one) and 724A (the other)...

Aldo Londi for Bitossi: a circular stoneware bowl, covered all over with Lava glaze, full of “volcanic” effects in intense shades of yellowish-green and orange. This pattern is also seen in vases, boxes etc. from Bitossi. Aldo Londi was the artistic leader of this renown Italian ceramic company. Marked 3030/564 (?) and Italy. Diameter "8 ½ / 21.5 cm, height "1 ¾ / 4.5 cm. Condition: fine.

Aldo Londi for Bitossi: a massive stoneware vase, thinly applied glaze to the exterior a rhombic pattern of in orange and yellow with “volcanic” effects, and a glossy glaze to the interior. Aldo Londi was the artistic leader of Bitossi, the renowned Italian ceramic company. Marked 3030/537 and Italy. Height "7/ 18 cm. Condition: a few glaze flakes to the mouth rim (cf. pics).

A stoneware pitcher made up by a tall and narrow cylinder and a semispherical shape, united by a circular handle. Greige and matte glaze with pin holes and other “volcanic” effects, the inside white and glossy. Illegible signature under the glaze, possibly for Bruno Gambone Italy. Height "7/ 18 cm. Condition: fine.

Wonderful colorless bulbous Steuben cologne bottle, shape 3404, with amethyst cintra rim at the top and having the original amethyst cintra petal stopper. The bottle is unsigned and is 3 3/4 inches in diameter and stands 5 inches tall with the stopper. There is a large polished pontil mark.

Midcentury Modern sterling silver decanter set. Retailed by Tiffany & Co. in New York. Sterling silver frame with central pole on shaped base between two round and open wells. Pole has sliding mechanism with hinged hasp and bracket handle to which are mounted two decanter covers. The covers descend on two ovoid bottles with cut diaper ornament, and sterling silver collar. With lock and key.

Stand marked “Tiffany & Co. / Sterling Silver” and numbered S1625...

A very nice unsigned Steuben Oriental Jade vase, shape 2648 as shown in the factory line drawings. The vase is 6 inches tall and is in perfect condition. The pontil mark is fully polished.

An unsigned 10 ½ inch tall colorless decanter decorated with 6 reserves with gold enameled intaglio flowers. The balance of the decanter is beautifully enameled with with multicolored sprays of leaves and crosshatching in the manner of Lobmeyr. The original stopper has the same decoration as the bottle including small intaglio rondels. There is a small polished pontil mark on the foot. There is some wear to the gold enamel on the intaglio portions...

English brass chamber stick with double handles, very rare. This chamber stick is 4 inches in width and 4 inches in height.

Brass chamber stick of English or Spanish origin with octagonal socket. Style suggests late 19th or early 20th century Art Nouveau. From the Lumiere Collection of chamber sticks and chamber lamps assembled over the course of 50 years by Peter Macdonald.

This porcelain and silver tea set was produced in Trenton New Jersey, USA, by Lenox between 1906 and 1930. Some of the pieces are marked with the older Lenox Belleek mark. The pot measures 9 inches from the spout to the handle and is 6 inches tall, including the lid. The pot includes a separate tea strainer which inter locks with the lid. The capacity is 30 ounces. The sugar bowl is 5 inches across the handles and 4 inches tall...
