Midcentury Modern sterling silver toothpick holder. Made by Alphonse La Paglia (d. 1953) in New Jersey. Drum-form with double-banded mouth rim. Spread base applied with cast band comprising alternating leafing scrolls and flowerheads. Fully marked including maker’s stamp and no. 160. Very good condition.

Here is a vintage (probably 1940s-50s) advertisement for an exhibition of Gustavsberg ceramics (Kage, Lindberg, Friberg) at the New York location of George Jensen on 53rd Street. Illustrated is an excellent example of Stig Lindberg's faience series. It measures 5" (12.5cm) by 5 3/8" (14cm). Mint condition.

These beautiful candlesticks were produced by the Consolidated Glass Company as part of the Martele line. Designed by Reuben Haley, the set was produced in the late 1920's. The pattern is called Orchid and is listed in the Consolidated catalog as the #2646 Low candlestick set. The color is green ceramic finish applied over crystal. Excellent condition. These Akro Agate items are from the Small Interior Panel set (18 panels). The colors are transparent topaz (made only in 1935-6) and transparent green ( called 'jade trans optic'). MacBeth-Evans Pink Dogwood 5.5" Cereal Bowl. Produced from 1930-34. In mint condition 5 are available.

This basked is American, circa 1880. It is white with blue ruffled trim, and has what appears to be mica is the glass. The handle is clear, and it is quite large, measuring 9 1/2" tall x 11" wide and 7 1/2" deep. It is in perfect original condition.
