German Rosenthal Porcelain Serving Bowl with 2 handles, 9" x 10" wide, 2 1/8" high, with large hand painted gold floral decoration in the center in the cobalt blue background, and fluted rim is also decorated in brilliant gold. This is a really pretty 11 1/2 inch X 9 inch Oval Platter made by Crooksville China. The Platter has a Wild Roses decoration on it with platinum trim. German Rosenthal Porcelain Serving Tureen with two(2) handles and cover, Casserole Dish, Ca. 1933-1945, large colorful Rose and other flowers decorated plus brilliant gold accent. Marked on the bottom, "RC Kronach, Bavaria" in green, and "R" in red. Very tight glaze hair line on one side about 2" x 1" long, can not capture it with my camera, this tureen will make very nice serving dish on the table.

I am not a specialist in this sort of thing, but will describe to the best of my ability: this is a vintage, circa 1920's to early 1940's at latest, ceramic work depicting a distant fairy castle, towering cumulus clouds in the sky, a grove of trees at right balancing the scene. Measurements are 9 1/2" by 10 1/2" by 7/8" thick, and the piece weighs roughly 2 3/4 pounds. More than likely this is by one of the known ceramic works of California from the Arts and Crafts period; found in Los Angeles...

The subject matter of this group is quite comical. A naked cherub is fleeing from the attack of an angry goose. The little fellow is just "barely" getting away.
