Smart-looking "No. 250 Coldseal" aluminum cocktail shaker by Kraftware, ca. 1946. The shape is very interesting, tapering from a narrow footed base to broader shoulders and a bell-shaped top. A beautiful set of six silverplated scallop shell dishes by Tiffany & Co. The dishes are worked with wonderful detail—even the feet have a decorative treatment similar to snail shells. Although the detailed design is similar, each of these Spratling candlesticks were handwrought a few years apart. Each carries specific Spratling hallmarks coinciding with their construction dates. The earlier example is 2 1/8" high. The later is 2 1/4" high. Each measures 2 1/4" across at the base. The pair weigh 155 grams. Both are in beautiful condition.
