Midcentury Modern sterling silver decanter set. Retailed by Tiffany & Co. in New York. Sterling silver frame with central pole on shaped base between two round and open wells. Pole has sliding mechanism with hinged hasp and bracket handle to which are mounted two decanter covers. The covers descend on two ovoid bottles with cut diaper ornament, and sterling silver collar. With lock and key.

Handcrafted door plate comprising a brass frame in a floral motif with allover exquisite and masterful abalone inlay. Dimensions are 12 inches diameter; center opening is 1 1/4 inches diameter. This decorative set of six 4-1/4" twist handle spoons has a full set of hallmarks with the lion passant II mark (post 1953, .835 silver content) and a VD M maker's mark. The handles have hand-made floral decoration and the lifter end has roses, and would also work nicely for serving asparagus. Three of seven modernist one of a kind sculptures by James Kuo(1920-1995). James Kuo was a Chinese American abstract painter who came to the US in 1947 and settled in Buffalo, NY. An elegant sterling silver small letter opener in Kirk’s “Repousse” pattern. The wide end is beautifully decorated with a pattern of roses and foliage against a stippled background. The flat edge is marked off so it can be used as a ruler. The back is marked with the Kirk hallmarked used 1932-61.

Origin: America, ca. 1950. Condition: excellent, very light wear to the first few 1/16” makers on the ruler at the pointed tip. Weight: 26.5 grams.
