For centuries, tastevins have been important accessories for French wine lovers, but until now we’ve never seen one that actually depicted “French wine lovers” in such graphic detail! Absolutely nothing is left to the imagination with this grouping of three. The unidentified maker is known to have made a similar tastevin depicting “Pétanque Fanny” merely lifting her skirts from behind. This very rare version goes quite a bit further, with Fanny in the clutches of a pair of old men...

Early 1950's silver plate and enamel bowl, designed by Henning Koppel. This model was produced in more than one color and size and by more than one Danish silverware producer, the foremost being Georg Jensen. This bowl is marked (illegible)…dröste and Denmark. Diameter "4 ½ / 11.2 cm and height "2 ¼ / 6 cm. Condition: some wear to the silvered surface as expected (cf. pics).

This crystal and silver plate condiment set was produced in England in the 1920s. The silver plated stand measures 7 1/4 inches high, 5 3/8 inches long and 4 1/4 inches wide. Silver plate salver or footed tray, by Walker and Hall, British company making fine silver plate items since 1853. Measures 11 3/4" in diameter, 1 1/2" high, sits on three ornate feet. Border is edged with beading, the surface is engine turned, and center holds name of yacht in block letters. The USS Siren was built in 1929 in Wilmington Delaware, but was not named the Siren until 1940 when it was commissioned into the US Navy as a minesweeper and patrol boat...

Being offered is an extra large and superb handwrought circa 1964 mixed metals - silver and copper centerpiece by Los Castillo of Taxco, Mexico. The very large figural swan centerpiece features a heavy gauge handwrought silver body with incised and oxidized detail on the wings; copper beak and applied lapis lazuli eyes. Dimensions are 14 inches high by 18 1/2 inches long by 11 inches wide. No monogram. Marked as illustrated in the photo. In excellent condition. Satisfaction guaranteed.

A classic Art Deco figural cocktail shaker in the form of traditional milk can by Reed & Barton. The “Milk Can” was introduced in 1959 and came in two sizes, with the 32-ounce size retailing for $35. This shaker was a luxury product and was made with Reed & Barton’s highest quality plating. The bottom is stamped “Reed & Barton/27/32 oz.” It also retains the original paper lable.

A Barker Bros. silver plated asparagus server cradle with tray. This super classy table server consists of the 11-1/2 x 6" pierced footed asparagus cradle or drainer and the matching 15-1/4 x 6-1/8" two-handled underplate or tray with bun feet. The cradle has a wirework frame and rest for a butter or sauce boat (not present) and the tray has the mark for Barker Brothers of Birmingham, England...

The ocean liner "Ile de France" was launched in 1926--not as the largest ship afloat, but intentionally as the most elegant ship in the world. This shaker was intended to celebrate that achievement and took its streamlined design elements from the ship itself...

Terrific Gorham silverplate figural shot glass in the form of an early American leather fire bucket. The front side is enameled with the emblem of the Chicago Fire Department surrounded with the words “Little Giant Engine Co. 1871”. The back side is modeled to show the leather handle. The bottom is marked “Gorham EP YC3098 CAP 3oz.” Origin: America, ca. 1955. Condition: excellent, no dings, minute wear to enamel on word "Fire Dept". Size: 2-3/4” tall.

An unmarked but Arts and Crafts period bud vase with a square and austere silver plated base and a hand blown and pulled square glass vase insert with a flared neck c1890-1900. This vase measures 7/8" across the base and it stands 6" high; it has all of the handcrafted style expected in the Arts and Crafts European style of this era. We were informed that it probably came from Scotland originally...

This hollow handle silver plate monogrammed luncheon / desert forks are 7 3/4" long. They have the monogram "F" barely visible. They show some signs of wear on on obverse. They are the 1847 Rogers Bros. This was made in 1904.
