Designed by Christian Fjerdingstad who worked for Christofle of France from 1924-1939, of silver plate, depicting a swan, the head formed from the ladle, the bowl as the bird's body, on pedestal foot, signed on base and on ladle.
Measures 2 3/4" high, and 10 1/2" from beak to tail when ladle is resting in bowl...
This handwrought silver box was designed by Taxco, Mexico artist William Spratling in the 1950's. The box measures 3 1/2" X 2 5/8" and is 1" high & weighs 178 grams. The lid is inlaid with panels of rich brown & yellow shell held in place by sterling silver rivets. The box is in beautiful condition & fully hallmarked. Measures 9" wide, 3 1/4" high, and 4 1/2" wide.
Nice heavy quality, all hand crafted, very subtle and lovely shape to body of bowl, on lovely scrolled foot rim with S shaped sections.
