Georgian-style sterling silver water pitcher. Made by Gorham in Providence, ca 1920. Baluster with leaf-capped double-scroll handle, v-lip spout, and round and stepped foot. Gadrooned rim. Traditional with nice heft. Fully marked including maker’s stamp, no. 81, and volume (4 1/2 pints). Very good condition.

The handle is monogrammed with an A inside a half wreath pattern, inside base of handle stamped with maker's mark, 925 and STERLING, engraved with the date 1927 on upper part of handle, The pusher is arched with scalloped sides. Measurements-handle 2.50 inches long, the blade measures 1.50 inches across. Condition- Minor surface scratches on blade.

A delightful and very rare French Art Deco silverplate cocktail shaker with enamel recipe decoration by Deschamps Frères of Paris. The enameled decoration depicts a pair of scrolled documents with seals presenting recipes for “Torelli” and “Winter Palace” cocktails. Both are rather unusual variations on a classic martini. For centuries, tastevins have been important accessories for French wine lovers, but until now we’ve never seen one that actually depicted “French wine lovers” in such graphic detail! Absolutely nothing is left to the imagination with this grouping of three. The unidentified maker is known to have made a similar tastevin depicting “Pétanque Fanny” merely lifting her skirts from behind. Rather than the typical "perles" and fluted "godrons", the bowl of this tastevin is decorated with repousse grape leaves and berries in the 18th century style. This treatment is the classic Dijonais interpretation of the form. A very large and heavy sterling silver double jigger with a turned ebony handle by Quaker Silver Co. The cups are decorated with an ornate acanthus leaf and bead design reminiscent of Jensen and other Nordic designers of the early 20th century. The jigger is stamped with Quaker's hallmark.

A Substantial Gorham Sterling Silver Rectangular Platter for Black, Starr and Frost. It is 14" square and 1" deep in dimensions and weighs 28.2 Troy ounces. Dates from the 1920's. Mint condition. It has a monogram on the edge (see picture).

A classic Art Deco first standard (950/1000 pure) silver jigger by the Parisian silversmith Auguste Roustang. The tapered form is simply decorated with a series of increasingly narrower steps at the base for a streamline look. The rim is hallmarked by Roustang.
