A classic figural sterling silver thimble jigger by Thomae & Co. The rim is engraved “Only A Thimble Full.” The interior retains its pale gilding. Several companies made variations of this jigger, but those by Thomae are among the best because of their superior weight and workmanship.

Being offered is a superb circa 1970 sterling silver pitcher made by Tane Silversmiths (the Tiffany of Mexico) of Mexico City, Mexico. Heavy gauge bulbous form fluted pitcher decorated with an alternating gilded vertical ribbed pattern; stylized handle and a gilded motif above the circular base. Dimensions: 10 inches tall including handle x 4 inches diameter x 7 inches from handle to spout. Marked. In excellent condition. Great weight 30 ozs.

A very scarce Watson and Newell demitasse spoon of an African American child eating watermelon. The spoon has “Shreveport, LA” engraved in the bowl. The back is marked “Sterling” and has the Watson & Newell logo. The spoon is shown as item 562-4 on the Watson and Newell 1900-1910 catalog page illustrating “Souvenirs for the South.”

A witty sterling silver vermouth dispenser in the form of a watering can by Cartier. When tipped, the dispenser lightly sprinkles just a drip of vermouth into the glass for the perfect martini. The bottom is marked "Sterling" and is signed "Cartier".

A Substantial Gorham Sterling Silver Rectangular Platter for Black, Starr and Frost. It is 14" square and 1" deep in dimensions and weighs 28.2 Troy ounces. Dates from the 1920's. Mint condition. It has a monogram on the edge (see picture).

Superb and extremely rare silverplated cocktail shaker in the "Ile de France" pattern by Meriden Britannia Plate Co. This is one of the most desirable of the high style Art Deco shakers. The ocean liner "Ile de France" was launched in 1926--not as the largest ship afloat, but intentionally as the most elegant ship in the world. This shaker was intended to celebrate that achievement and took its streamlined design elements from the ship itself...

WMF Ikora patinated metal dish or bowl, Germany c 1930. The surface iridescent in yellow-green and black, in the center a stylized ribbon or flower or an abstract Art Déco motif. Small paper label to the back D11 and the impressed Ikora and WMF factory mark for the German Württembergische Metallwarenfabrik. Diameter "10 / 25 cm. Condition: a wire for hanging fixed by soldering.

Midcentury Modern sterling silver box. Made by Poole in Taunton, Mass. Rectangular with straight sides. Cover hinged with curved top. Cast corner bracket supports in form of Classical colonnade. Box interior cedar lined. Open leather-lined underside. Fully marked including maker’s stamp and no. 15. Very good condition.

A Roden (Birks) sterling 1930s napkin ring with an N monogram by Roden Bros, Toronto. Roden was bought out by Birks in 1928. This 3/4" wide sterling napkin ring measures 2" x 1-1/2" across the interior and it has lined decoration. It has a rubbed STERLING mark with the Roden maker's mark. Birks bought all Roden's inventory and parts and molds, and the Roden mark can be seen on some Birks silver items until several decades after...

Pair of pretty Edwardian sterling silver candlesticks. Made by Fisher Silversmiths, Inc. in Jersey City, ca 1950. Each: Ovoid socket with detachable and turned-down bobeche; baluster shaft on domed foot. Rims have applied shells and scrolls. Fully marked including maker’s stamp and no. 3310. Very good condition. American Midcentury Modern sterling silver picture frame. Rectangular window in plain, flat, and narrow surround. With glass, silk lining, and velvet back and hinged easel support for portrait (vertical) and landscape (horizontal) display. Marked “Sterling / 83”. Very good condition.

This rare, modernist bowl is quite exquisite. It is made by Aage Wiemar, Denmark. It has an approximate diameter of 3" and stands about 7/8". The bottom of the bowl is marked PURE SILVER AAGE WEIMAR DENMARK and has 4 other maker's marks/hallmarks below the above. The third mark is 9584. The bottom also has marks that are made by hand. The bowl/dish weighs just over 4 ounces.

A vintage hammered copper small pot, unmarked, likely circa first part of the 20th century, with interesting curved handle, and hand placed grommet. Measurements are 4" high not including handle, and about 5 1/4" across at widest. Not the famous Dirk van Erp of the San Francisco Bay area, but nevertheless and interesting piece. There is a dent along the bottom edge as shown.

Being offered is an exceptional and rare circa 1943 sterling silver pitcher by William Spratling, of Taxco, Mexico. Handwrought, bulbous form pitcher with a magnificent oversized carved wood handle; banded incised design on the neck. Dimensions: 7 1/2 inches tall by 6 inches diameter by 9 inches from handle to spout. No monogram. Marked as illustrated in photo. In excellent condition...
