A signed Steuben jar with threaded lid on an optic swirled rib footed body. The bristol yellow jar is 7 inches tall and 3 3/4 inches in diameter at the shoulder. There are two minor chips on the threading of the lid. The base has a polished pontil and there is an acid stamped Steuben fleur de lys mark. The bottle is shown in the factory line drawings and the Carder Steuben Club shape gallery as shape 6733.

Weighing 61 grams this Spratling design measures 3 1/2" X 2 3/4". The piece is in excellent condition. Hallmarked on the underside. The ashtray is pictured on Phyllis Goddard's spratlingsilver.com.

 

This really pretty Green Slag Glass Paneled Grape Small Canister with Lid was made by Westmoreland Glass. This Canister bottom measures 5 inches high X 4 1/2 inches in diameter at the top of the canister. It measures 7 1/4 inches to top of knob with the lid on. The bottom is signed WG. Both the Canister bottom and lid are in very good condition with no chips or cracks. This is a beautiful, hard to find, piece of Westmoreland Glass. 17114428 A scarce gold Favrile underplate for a cordial. The 3 inch diameter plate has a polished pontil and is signed “LCT G1478" by the polished pontil. The rim of the plate exhibits a very nice onion skin pattern. Under plates such as this are shown in a page from the 1902 Tiffany Studios booklet. A copy of this page can be found on page 54 of Robert Koch’s “Louis C. Tiffany’s Glass-Bronzes-Lamps.”

Small bottle-shape vase by Dean Mullavey (Canadian, born in New Hampshire, USA, in 1927), in excellent condition. This small stoneware bottle measures 4 1/4" in height. Incised signature and chop. It was created around 1960-1961 while the artist was a member of the Clay Art Center in Port Chester, NY (all information courtesy of the artist). From a North Carolina estate. One of four early works by this artist currently available.

A large Murano glass fish figurine with silver flecks and variegated color splashes, designed in the style of Dino Martens (for Aureliano Toso). The figurine is 16 1/4 inches (41,3 cm) tall and 7 1/2 inches (19 cm) wide. Except for some roughness at the bottom of the tail (probably as made), it is in fine condition. It is made in green and clear sommerso glass. Unsigned - remnants of a large yellow sticker on bottom (please see last picture).

This majolica pitcher has an unusual anchor and chain pattern around the top and pale pink flowers with green leaves on a cream background in the center. It has a brown basket weave bottom. There is some clay shrinkage on the inside. See picture for details. There are no marks.

This really pretty crystal clear Diane, Etch No. 752, 3400/135 Four Footed Cupped Bowl was made by Cambridge Glass from 1931 to 1956. This Bowl can be hard to find. It measures 9 1/4 inches at the widest diameter X 5 inches high. It is in very good condition with no chips, cracks or scratches. We guarantee items to be as described. THANK YOU.

Aldo Londi for Bitossi: a massive stoneware vase, thinly applied glaze to the exterior a rhombic pattern of in orange and yellow with “volcanic” effects, and a glossy glaze to the interior. Aldo Londi was the artistic leader of Bitossi, the renowned Italian ceramic company. Marked 3030/537 and Italy. Height "7/ 18 cm. Condition: a few glaze flakes to the mouth rim (cf. pics).

This beautiful comport was made by the Consolidated Glass Company as part of the Martele line. Designed by Reuben Haley, the piece was produced in the late 1920's. Approximately 6 1/2 inches in diameter, 3 inches high. Color is yellow ceramic wash over crystal. Perfect condition. See my other listings for a matching comport in green and another in purple.

Wonderful folk art box of a pyramid that opens to reveal sections to hold cigarettes and matches. The entire surface is inlaid with square or rectangular pieces of wood in varying shades of brown and beige. It measures 5 1/2" high and is 9 3/8" square, sitting on 4 geometric feet. Surface appears to have a light varnish coating. The form is a copy of the pyramid at Chichen Itza in the Yucatan Peninsula...

Rare sterling silver ice tongs in Kirk’s popular “Old Maryland Plain” pattern. This pattern, designed in 1850, is one of the oldest patterns in Baltimore silver. Because it is so simple, it can appear both Colonial or contemporary, and works well with nearly any silver pattern. The tongs are marked with later 20th century Kirk hallmarks.

Origin: America, ca 1980. Condition: excellent, no monogram. Size: 6-1/4” long. Weight: 84.5 grams.

Fiesta Green Skirted Wide Bowl measures 12.5" diameter and about 3.5" high. They call this form a comport. Made from 1936-46 in the original green color.

Designed by Christian Fjerdingstad who worked for Christofle of France from 1924-1939, of silver plate, depicting a swan, the head formed from the ladle, the bowl as the bird's body, on pedestal foot, signed on base and on ladle. Measures 2 3/4" high, and 10 1/2" from beak to tail when ladle is resting in bowl...

A vintage sterling silver Caddy spoon by William Spratling with a lightly hammered finish and shovel design. This spoon is from the first design period.

Measures 3 5/8" long and 1 1/2" across. Dates from before 1946. Marked with the script 'WS' surrounded by Spratling Made in Mexico, and Spratling Silver. Marks show some wear. Has minor wear to the surface appropriate to the age, some tarnish and surface scratches.
