Beautiful lobed Kutani yaki dish in Yoshidaya style, modern. Decoration of camellia in white, aubergine, green, speckled yellow and gilt. The back with a character in gilt, possibly Qiu, meaning Autumn. It is also defined by Graesse in his classical work about pottery and porcelain marks as from the village of Shinomine in Arita. Diameter "6 ¼ / 16 cm, height "1 ¼ / 3 cm. Condition: fine.

Late 1960s early 1970s ELC marked "Roke's Drift" red and blue glazed Zulu plate with a raku tupe glaze , the body seems to have some animal hair mixed in the clay body. A nice piece with beautiful colors and texture. There is a chip at the edge as seen in pictures. D 7.2" h 1.3" The ELC Art and Craft Centre were started in 1962 by Peder and Ulla Gowenius. This arose out of a committee formed in 1961 in Stockholm, Sweden, for the advancement of African art and craft...

Tiffin made Twilight for many, many years. It does change color -- icey blue in fluorescent lighting, pastel lavendar in sunlight or incandescent (the old light bulbs). This compote is made from Duncan & Miller's Canterbury mold. Made in the 1960-70's. It is in mint condition and stands 5.25" tall and about 7" at its widest. A finely sculpted bust of a young man with exceptional patina of finely blended earth and bronze pigments. Physical condition is superb, but a small amount of finish has worn around the left eye and on the top of the head exposing a green substrate, yet harmonious with the earthen finish. Signed on the back of the neck. We have been unable to decipher the signature; yet the work speaks well for the unidentified artist. Dimension: 13" h

A green glazed hand thrown pottery vase signed on the bottom, “W N/OWEN” (Walter Nelson Owen 1895- 1981) with the original retail paper label reading, “Hand Made For/PETER MURPHEY/HWY. 191 . P. O. Box 653/HENDERSONVILLE, N.C.” Peter Murphey ran a small ad in The Transylvania Times, of Brevard N.C. June 3, 1965 advertising a continuous Craftsmans Fair at his address. A long time potter and owner of The Pine State Pottery started signing by hand his pottery in 1970...

These "Liberty Blue" cup and saucer sets are 2 5/8". They have a blue and white floral rim . The scene in the saucer is that of the Old North Church. The scene on the cup is that of the Paul Revere riding through town. They are in excellent condition.

A lovely signed "Hand Made in Greece Ikaros Pottery B420" with a small 4 at the bottom. In excellent condition though the rim has a slight imperfection original to the piece that is not noticeable except to the touch. The piece measures 8" (h) x 7" (w). The Ikaros factory was located in Rhodes,Greece and ceased production in 1988.

Fostoria made the American pattern from 1915-1980. This Creamer and Sugar are in mint condition.
