The Gendarme back chairs get their name from the Shape of Napoleon and the French Gendarmes(Policemans hat) from the mid 19th century. An authentic 1920s slag glass scenic chandelier ceiling lamp. This hexagonal 16" across and 12" deep beauty features caramel swirl slag glass panels, an upper gallery of blue, purple and caramel slag panels and a lower skirt of blue, purple and deep yellow panels resembling cloudy sky under cutout scenic gold patinated and lacquered brass framework structure of a house with trees. It is unsigned, it has the original gilded brass canopy and it has been resocketed and rewired...

A pair of gilt brass roses metalwork table lamps with marble bases from the 1930s 1940s. These beauties stand 25-3/4" to the tops of the original finials and the bases are genuine black veined marble. They may actually date from the 1920s and they have been rewired and resocketed. The pleated silk shades shown are later (and were on the lamps when we acquired them) and they can be included if you wish (they have minor staining/spotting) but that will raise the shipping costs substantially...

DESCRIPTION: A lovely Chinese bamboo-framed cabinet having painted scenes of bamboo and birds on a yellow ground. The rectangular top is mounted over a door that opens to an interior cabinet with three shelves. A delightful piece for the bedroom or country/cottage interior, 20th C. Good condition with minor wear. DIMENSIONS: 35.25" H x 20.5" W x 14.5" D.

An Art Deco Lightolier luster Czech glass shade ceiling lamp from the 1920s. This scarce beauty has a paneled Czechoslovakian pale yellow lustre glass shade with floral screened designs in blue, yellow and orange. The shade is stamped LIGHTOLIER and it measures 8-1/8" across the open bottom and 9-1/4" in total across. The top opening is 6-3/4" and this lamp retains its original cream-painted metal mount with three metal spokes with finger screws...

A selection of 9 hand painted apothecary jars ranging in age from antique to vintage. All are in good condition with some minor wear to the enamels and gilt. Each one carries their original lid...
