This vintage female Seminole Indian doll is made of palm fronds. She wears traditional costume with patchwork skirt, and a yellow bead necklace. Except for her top which is a bit dirty, she is in excellant condition. She is 9 inches tall. Thls doll is one of several Seminole Indian dolls which were brought back from Florida by a loving uncle and given to me as a very young child in the early 1940's

Sculpture of Navajo woman weaving a rug on a loom. Woman is wearing native clothing with a mustard colored long dress, "silver" and "turquoise" belt, squash necklace, and buttons. Her wood loom made of debarked tree branches shows a half finished rug. At her feet are balls of yarn in the colors of the rug - grey, black, ochre, and rust. Wonderful 1960’s sterling silver concho belt by a very fine Navajo silversmith of N.P, c. 1950s-60s.

Unusally large and heavy plus very ornate with particularly fine select large torquise stones mounted on 12 Conches and the massive buckle.

The belt measure 130 cm. length and weighs 932 grams, almost a kilo. Probably the largest we've seen for sale and the high weight must be due to the larger size of the Conchos and buckle.

San Idelfonso blackware jar, burnished finish with abstract designs, early unsigned piece, in the style of Maria Martinez (1887-1980), beautiful condition and good size. This model is a faithful representation of the American privateer ship built in New York at the beginning of the 19th century. The model is of exceptional quality. It may be that it was built from a kit from the 70s but the multitude of excellent details leads me to believe that it is a unique work created from scratch by a virtuoso model maker. Although we know of many models of the "Prince of Neuchatel", none equals this one...

Very fine Hupa or Yurok basketry cap, in rows and bands of varied colors, tightly woven, in very good condition, early 20th century. Measures 7 3/4" x 7", the opening is roughly 6 7/8" 5 5/8". Note that the cap is slightly oblong, and the measurements are how it sits, could measure otherwise if opening stretched a bit.
