Necklace made of beautifully hand carved jadeite beads, gradually becoming larger the further from the nape of the neck they are strung, with smaller round jadeite beads alternating in between. Can be loosened or tightened using the string pulls at the top, which also have two small and one large carved jade bead at the ends. Apple green highlights can be seen. A very lovely natural green Burmese jadite necklace, all stones were selected to match, none were dyed. The clasp is marked 'silver' and by the art deco design of it we date the piece to the 1920 - 1930's. The necklace measures 24" and consists of three strands. This is a nice weighty but very comfortable necklace, highly stylish and elegant, a real crowd pleaser.
