A large (top width: 14 inches, height: 6 1/2 inches), amethyst-colored, centerpiece bowl with a folded-down rim, made by Pairpoint during the early part of the 20th century. Ground pontil (see picture). Unsigned. The bowl has been examined under black-light: it fluoresces in a very gentle greenish color, typical of late 19th or early 20th century soda-lime glass; also, there are no cracks in the bowl...

San Sebastián Style Nayarit Terracotta Sculpture of a Seated Man , slight chip to tip of foot. Size 5.5" H Ex Rosen Collection c1960

An S Kirk and Sons sterling silver repousse nut serving bowl and matching spoon. The 6-1/2" diameter bowl and 5-1/4" long spoon both have the high-relief floral repousse work this quality American silver firm was known for. It is on on the bowl's rim and on the spoon handle and in the bowl, which also has a relief scene of fruit including pineapple, grape, apple and strawberry. The spoon's bowl measures 2" across. Both pieces have a fancy S monogram, and each is stamped S. KIRK & SON STERLING...

This handsome case, highlighted by black niello enamel, could be used for various things, including business cards. It has a flower motif on both sides, and space for a monogram on one side, should you wish it. It is marked (and tests as) sterling silver. It measures 3-7/8 x 2-15/16”, and weighs in at 4.92 ounces. In excellent condition. The elastic may be a replacement. We believe this case is pre-1920, but would welcome other opinions...

A rare and beautiful Signed Steuben Aurene sugar pot (with etched and acid-cutback flowers and branches, and a sterling cover). The glass piece is 3 5/8 inches tall and 3 1/4 inches wide at the bottom. Good condition. Polished pontil. Signed. Cover marked, 'Sterling' and the glass is marked, 'Aurene'.

A large (11 3/8 inches wide and 3 1/4 inches high) signed applied-threaded center bowl made by Steuben around 1920. Except for some expected scratches at the bottom, it is in fine condition (no missing threads). Polished pontil. Made with rib-optic glass, the bowl is signed with, 'Steuben' inside the fleur-de-lis signature (the signature is extremely faded - please look at the 12 o'clock position of the last picture).

  Authentic antique, 19th century, finely hand painted on a wooden panel, Russian Orthodox Icon, The Mother of God of Smolensk "Smolenskaya" (Hodigitria or Patron of the wayfarers).

MEASUREMENTS: 17 cm x 12.5 cm (6 5/8 in x 4 7/8 in).

CONDITION: The icon is in the original good condition with a nice old patina. The border with remains of the iron nails, which previously held an oklad, in which the icon was originally encased. One minor surface edge crack on the lower part...

A beautiful French hand-painted opaline glass portrait vase on a metallic (bronze or brass) frame, made around 1890. The vase is 9 inches (23 cm) wide and 7 3/4 inches (20 cm) tall. Good condition with age-appropriate gilt loss.

Offered is this beautiful English glass and sterling silver collar box (hand-painted with Alphonso Mucha-type romantic scene on a mother-of-pearl cover). The box is 5 inches (12,5 cm) wide and 3 inches (7,5 cm) high and is in good condition. The sterling is marked, 'T. M. & Co' and has English sterling hallmarks).

Offered is this beautiful, geometric-patterned, cameo-cut glass bowl or vase, made by Thomas Webb & Sons of Stourbridge, England. Made on two-layered cased glass and having a clear applied foot, the bowl is 4 inches (10 cm) wide and 2 inches (5 cm) high. It is in excellent condition. Signed on base (see last picture).

Offered are these two beautiful, hand-painted Victorian glass ewers. The amber-colored thumbprint jug is 8 3/4 inches tall and 6 3/4 inches wide. The Mary Gregory one is 8 inches tall and 7 inches wide. Both ewers were blown (has pontil-bottoms - see last two pictures) and are without chips, cracks or repairs. Both jugs fluoresce a gentle green when exposed to long-wavelength black-light, showing that they are made of late 19th century soda-lime glass blanks.

Offered is this beautiful double-handled glass vase, hand-decorated with fish and water vegetation - though unsigned, in all likelihood, it was made by Moser. Polished pontil. It is 7 1/2 inches (19 cm) tall and is in excellent condition.

Offered is this very rare 'Diamond glass' (produced by blowing compressed air), English glass vase, made around 1850, most likely by Ricardson and may have been designed by Thomas Webb (when he was still at Richardson). The vase is 9 inches (23 cm) tall. Overall, the blown (has pontil), cased-glass vase is in good condition (as are typical of these vases with glass applications, there is a small flake on the applied flower and a short discontinuation on the applied limb - see pictures)...

An ornate Bohemian glass box with jewels, made by Moser around 1885. The green-colored box is 3 1/2 inches (9 cm) wide and 2 3/4 inches (7 cm) high. It has yellow/amber colored jewels on it. The hinge opens and closes fine. Except for a missing jewel / chip on the top (see last picture), the box is in very good condition. Like typical Moser objects from the 19th century, the box is unsigned...

Offered is this beautiful, coralene-decor, Bohemian glass vase, made by Moser. Excellent condition. It is approximately 9 3/4 inches (25 cm) tall. Similar items are shown in Baldwin's book on Moser glass (see last picture).

A beautiful, hand-painted, seven-piece water glass set, made most probably by the Bohemian glass-maker, Carl Hosch, a contemporary of Moser. The set is decorated with typical art nouveau floral motif. The set is in very good condition (there is one nick on one glass and a couple of pin-pricks on another). Polished pontil. The jug is 12 inches (30,5 cm) tall with a base width of 5 1/2 inches (14 cm). Each glass is 8 inches (20,3 cm) tall and has a top-diameter of 2 1/4 inches (5,7 cm).

A very rare and fine Japanese Satsuma water dropper in the form of a Kyoto style saki pot. Delicately painted with figures and flowers, it is supported on three tiny feet and signed on bottom. In excellent condition, this treasure measures a mere 2 5/8 in diameter and about 1.25" high. Dates Meiji Period, 1868-1912.

This is a very unusual design. All the pigeons that fly under the gallan are Hand-painted dyeing and very accurately and boldly drawn, just like a Buddhist painting. There is light dirt, but there is no damage. A fine quality two piece antique Gorham sterling string holder, made by Gorham 1890-1900. This lovely string holder weighs 3 ounces, and its pierced design allows you to see if you will soon need more string. It measures 3-1/4" in diameter and it stands 3-1/4" in height. 19th century netsuke of kagamibuta (mirror lid”) type with Shibayama inlay depicting a small bird (probably a sparrow) in flight chasing a single cherry blossom petal. Very well made, the inlay is in perfect shape, no losses or repairs. Beautifully fitted metal frame around the inlay, dense rosewood bowl with beautiful mellow patina, metal peg for hanging on the back, old silk cord. Bowl length 1 7/8 inches, inlay length 1 1/8 inches.

Early 19th century boxwood netsuke of a crouching puppy about to pounce. Strong early piece with unusual posture, excellently captured facial expression and chunkiness of a young pup, wonderful hairwork. Eyes are inlaid with black horn, old stable age line along its back, superb wear and patina. Excellent strong netsuke. Length 1 1/4 inches.

A large and rare tablet stamp seal engraved with a depiction of temple-doors on each side, Levantine, Pre-Canaanite lands, Late 3rd...

19th century wooden netsuke of a slightly inebriated dancer with a fan in his hand. Wood is lacquered in Negoro style - red (or golden brown) lacquer over black, so as it wears the black starts showing. Beautifully carved drunken facial expression, really nice feel of age to the piece, very pleasantly worn. Height 2 inches.

This round inkstone was carved out of a naturally occurring layered stone...both the bottom and cover viewed from the side show the striation of the stone.The covered has a pond design etched with raised koi fish. It is really lovely. The inkstone is just over 4 inches in diameter and .8 inches in height.

Two baskets are being offered here and both are from the Northeast, most probably from the Penobscot of Maine. They are lidded, made of splint ash, and use natural dyes of green and orange.

Basket 1, although it has a square base, is 14 3/4" in diameter and 11 1/2" in height. They are about 3 smallish splint breaks as shown in the photos, but the basket is structurally sturdy. Basket 2 has a medial sweetgrass braid and a dyed interior. The 4 3/4" in diameter and 2 1/2" in height.

Wonderful Antique Japanese Imari two-piece flower arranger, Meiji Period c 1868-1912; the bowl with looped and reticulated border of interlocking rings, the interior decorated with blue, orange and beige fish and lilies, auspicious symbols of longevity and good fortune. The underside marked with a lucky symbol. The bowl is in good condition, some flaking on the perforated cover. No restoration or chips. The dish measures 12" diameter x 2 3/4" high.

Ming Dynasty, Wanli period, Ca. 1600

The fine porcelain paste, decorated in cobalt blue, depicts a garden scene with bird and flowers in the center of the dish, surrounded by stylized flowers in circular cartouches. The back is divided into six panels, each centered by a splashed dot. The footring is unglazed, revealing the fine white paste, and there is a bit of sand adhering from the firing. This is a fantastic example of an early bronze dagger blade with handle rivets still present and intact. This type was common to large areas of the Middle East from present day Greece across to Iran. It has a triangular blade with prominent midrib and a very short, flat tang. The patina is a gorgeous mixture of greens and browns with a hint of blue. This is a truly rare opportunity to acquire an excellent piece at a reasonable price. Don't miss it!!!!

An ornate Victorian SP ink stand with ink pot, drawer and pen rest 1860. A wonderful mid-Victorian silverplated ink stand with a Feb. 20, 1860 registration date. A massive heavy silver plate bronze mirror, Cambodia, Khmer Empire, ca. 11th.-12th. century AD.

Very large and with a beautiful silver patina, uncleaned on the recessed side. It features a perfect circular form and a recessed side with concentric incised circles tracing the borders. Objects like this one were signs of prestige, owned by the wealthy and elite in Khmer society.

An attractive late medieval bronze opium weight in the old classical style featuring the elongated octagonal base. Depicting a ‘Toe’ or lionbeast, Burma c. 1550 AD

A pair of English Georgian period sterling silver footed salt cellars or dishes with clear glass liners, fully hallmarked for London, England 1771-2. This antique pair of 2-1/2" diameter salt stands or dips are 1-1/2" high, and they have three hoof design feet. A fine sterling silver gravy ladle in the 1892 “Richelieu” patterns by Tiffany & Co. This is one of Tiffany’s great early patterns and is very sought after today. It is distinguished by shell motifs at the handle and pendant bellflowers that lead down the stem. The flattened bowl is elegantly gadrooned to match the scalloped edge. The back is marked with Tiffany’s hallmark in use 1891-1902.

Mexican Pre Columbian Terracotta Statue arms with Offerings. Nice formed arms from a good sized figure. The Arms out stretched each holding a tall sided bowl with some kind of fruit or food. Size L 5" H 1.5" matching set great as mounted display pieces.

DESCRIPTION: A fine red and gilt Chinese scholar's ink cake in circular form with the front and back molded in relief in the form of a foo dog (shi shi) with tightly curled mane. Both the front and back have raised Chinese characters in relief. Excellent condition in original box, and dating from the first quarter of the 20th C. or earlier. DIMENSIONS: 2 ¾” diameter (7 cm).

18th century Japanese sword iron tsuba with raised and inlaid decoration of a seated tiger scratching its ear by a thick stem of bamboo with leaves. Delightful design, good work, wonderful depiction of the creature, gilded and silvered leaves, very pleasant feel of age. Height 2 15/16 inches.

19th century boxwood netsuke of Sennin Tobosaku showing off the Peach of Immortality which he stole from a tree in the garden of Seiobo, the Chinese Queen of the Fairies, where it ripens only once it 3 thousand years. 19th century Japanese kozuka (sword knife) handle depicting a long arrow and a segment of samurai’s armor with cord, all on the background of a stone castle wall. Unusual and elegant piece, wonderful crisp work - see the textures of the feathers on the arrow and silk wrappings holding together metal plates constituting the armor. Gilding, finely textured ground, in excellent condition. Length 3 13/16 inches.

Superb sterling silver powder box covered with beautiful floral repousse decoration. The design features a dense covering of daisies, chrysanthemums and roses surrounding a pair of rococo reserves framed with assymetrical scrolls. Neither of the reserves has ever been monogrammed. Lovely ribbed opaque glass biscuit jar with large applied glass flower on front. The frame needs resilvering, but the rest of the jar is in perfect condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. It measures 8" tall to the top of the handle x 5 1/4" diameter on the bottom.

A superb Victorian Art Nouveau baby rattle, the handle carved from a large piece of mother-of-pearl and adorned on either side with a gorgeous Art Nouveau lady's head worked in sterling silver and finished with three silver bells. Although unsigned, the particulars of the design are very similar to a known Unger design. Marked "Sterling".
