A beautifuly formed iron sake kettle known as a Choshi with a solid silver lid and featuring sliver inlay designs on the handle enclosed in an age darkened kiri-wood bos titled Tetsu Choshi Jungin-futa. It is 8 cm (just over 3 inches) diameter, 16 cm (6 inches) to the top of the handle, and is in excellent condition.

Rare 5th Century Korean Gaya Water Jar of Classic Form, Color, and Design. The decoration is incised into the clay between the carved bands before firing. Gaya was a confederation of small states independent from and influential on the the Silla Kingdom and its pottery, until Silla annexed Gaya in the 6th Century. The long neck keeps water from sloshing out while the jar is being carried. Height: 10 inches, 25.5 cm.

Antique Japanese bronze hibachi decorated with dragons and chickens. The chickens have their wings spread as they give the illusion they are flying out of the body. The dragons walk across the body of the vessel. There are three small feet with incised scrolling designs. It measures 9" tall, 13" wide at the mouth, 18" wide from handle to handle. This small carved jade plaque was certainly the element of the central part of a Ruyi scepter, a symbol of the power of Chinese leaders. Pair of ancient Persian small cast bronze mythical creatures. Each figure has a rounded head, the short horns of a bull, an arching neck and a single hoofed foot. Various holes and slots point to a utilitarian as well as decorative function. Most likely these were feet used for a ritual incense vessel.
