An unusual Japanese six panel screen of Ducks, Egrets, and Pheasants. Painted with rimpa paint on an unique mix of gold and silver leaf gofun paper, which gives the screen an incredible look and balance of cold and warm tones, depending on lighting. The painting composition shows influences of natural history and the importance of empty space.

Scarce and very important, Museum Quality, antique,16th century, Turkish Ottoman gilt copper (Tombak) Islamic saddle axe head Balta. The axe head features a flaring downward-curving blade, a central block reinforced with slender vertical ribs, and a protruding rear hammer of a square flaring section.

Each face of the axe has finely carved and engraved floral patterns, including blooming tulips and other flowers on punched ground...

It was found by treasure hunters who struck a deal with the Colombian government, the Bank of Colombia and the local peasants whereby the treasure was divided up. The Royal Family of Saudi Arabia purchased many of the pieces including full body suits. Artifacts from this treasure can be readily identified by the extreme purity of the gold which is 23K-24K.
