A beautiful Chinese famille rose porcelain footed bowl surrounded with men, women, and children in an outdoor setting. Inside, the bowl are 3 small insects. In excellent condition, it dates to Guangxu period of the late 19th century. No hairlines, no chips, very slight wear compatible with age. Measures 10 1/8 inches x 8 1/2" x 3 1/8" high

This porcelain basket was produced in Germany by Nymphenburg in the late 19th century. It is marked with an under glaze cobalt blue crown and shield. The basket measures 9 1/4 inches across the handles, 6 1/2 inches wide and is 2 3/4 inches deep. It features entwined handles and delicate reticulation. The interior of the basket is beautifully hand painted with colorful flowers. All of the reticulation is outlined in gold inside and out. It is a sweet and fragile reminder of by-gone eras.

This porcelain serving platter was produced in Germany by the Carl Thieme Dresden studio in the 1890s. It measures 11 1/4” long and 10” wide. This ethnographic artifact is a seated ancestor female figure carved from goat's horn. It is from one of the Indonesian Islands by one of the indigenous Dayak tribes.

A fine tinsel, or foil, painting. The relatively uncommon subject matter is a basket of fruit, nicely reverse painted on glass with tinsel backing. What unfortunately doesn't show well in the photo, because of the lighting, is the bunch of grapes directly under the basket.

The painting is in very good condition, with what is probably its original gilded frame and wood backing. The overall size is 16" by 14".

Dating from the last half of the 19th century, the painted frame, worth a bit of money on its own, is likely earlier, with a wood backboard The painting is in fine condition, with only some very small minor speckles in the black background. Signed Juzan (ishikawa Komei) This is a finely carved boxwood netsuke depicting Tanuki, seated, wearing a kimono, with a striker on his right hand, getting ready to beat his hairy distended scrotum that is resting on a cushion as if it were a mokugyo. Very skillfully done miniature sculpture that is signed Juzan within an oval reserve on the bottom of the netsuke. The cord holes (himotoshi) are lined up with natural material.

19th century Indian bronze votive sculpture of Ganesha sitting on a round base, cast in the Indian state of Karnataka. Ganesha is the remover of obstacles, and thus is invoked before any new undertaking. He bestows good luck on his worshippers, and is invoked in marriage ceremonies and in some forms of Tantric worship.
