Scarce and beautiful early type of pottery Oil lamp, Roman 1st. century AD.

The lamp is of the Loeschcke Typus VIII and displays Juno on a Crescent moon in high relief! The lamp is sharply stamped with a known scarce makers name: COPPI.RES

Terracotta head of a man with a round hairstyle which covers the ears. The hair with impressed circles and remains of white color.
The man shows wide almond-shaped eyes with neatly marked cosmetic lines and eyebrows. The prominent nose with pieced nostrils, the lips pressed to a gentle smile.

This is an incredible 1 7/8" Columbia Plateau found in Oregon. It is made from beautiful translucent moss agate. It is a true G-10. One of the very best. It is from one of the all time great Northwest collections, Gordon Erspamer. I purchased it from a Jim Bennett auction who personally examined it and told me it was a one in a 10,000 point. Mr. Bennett has written three books on how to recognize reproductions and altered artifacts. They are currently selling on Amazon for $388 each.

Attractive translucent stone, rarely seen as a material for early period scaraboids. Finely polished with curving sides in a peculiar squarish shape. Quite nicely engraved motif, better than the imprint indicates...

Interesting stone stamp seal found in Harran, easternmost Turkey, prior to 1991. Harran was founded as a real city at some point between the 25th and 20th centuries BC, possibly as a merchant colony by Sumerian traders from Ur. Over the course of its early history, Harran rapidly grew into a major Mesopotamian cultural, commercial and religious center.

This seal is engraved with distinctive spoked wheel in the base, so we can date as 3rd.-2nd. millenium BC...

If you are looking to fill your vacant Plainview Paleo spot, look no further. You would be hard-pressed to find a better example. It is 4 1/8" long. It has collateral high quality flaking. The hafting area is ground and it has basal thinning. It is made from a beautiful translucent chalcedony that is root beer colored. It was found in Mills County, Texas. I have owned it since 1998. It is a hands down G-10 and comes with a Bill Breckinridge laser COA.

Hohokam carved red basalt effigy big horn sheep ca. 650 ad. No Restoration, In as found condition with excellent ground deposits. The Hohokam seemed to use the red basalt for stone ceremonial effigies and objects but the red basalt was harder and rarer for them to find than the black basalt. This is a fine carved effigy of a big horn sheep which the Hohokam prized due to most likely how hard they were to hunt and kill.
