An antique Japanese cane made from bamboo with a carved image of an Oni fishing. Oni are a kind of yōkai, ogre, or troll in Japanese folklore. They are typically portrayed as hulking figures with one or more horns growing out of their heads. They are conceived of as red, blue or green-colored wearing loincloths of tiger pelt and carrying iron kanabō clubs. The cane is signed.

Unsigned, this 10" Mont Joye crystal cameo glass vase is beautifully hand enameled in a pattern of orchids over a clear "chipped ice" ground. Circa 1910

Condition: Excellent, no damage or repairs. There is slight age wear to the polished pontil base and wear to the gilded inner rim in spots, revealing the green enamel undercoat, as illustrated in the sixth photograph.

This superb ivory carving of a Chinese legendary figure Tie Gui Li is a late 19th or early 20th century product. It is 11 ½” tall (including base); without the base it is 9 ¾” high, 2 ½” wide and 2” in depth. The statue presents a legendary Chinese character who is a member of the eight immortals. A simple yet refined bamboo sago or a scoop used to gather tea leaves from the tea jar. The top contains a carving of scholar rocks set among small bamboo and a small tree with slight foliage. The inscription on the top right, (Japanese: Gakusoka, Chinese: Xuesu jia) refers to a person who upholds or revives knowledge or education. This unusually shaped carved bone snuff bottle is a late Meiji period (1867~1911) product. It is 2 3/4” long, 1 ¼” wide and ¾” thick. It depicts a curled shrimp as the body of snuff bottle. The bamboo spoon is a replacement. It has a great patina and is in great condition.

A rare finely painted pair of underglaze blue decorated dragon and phoenix 'wedding' dishes made in Jingdezhen, southern China, and exported to Europe in the late 19th or early 20th Century during the reign of the Guangxu emperor (1875-1908). This porcelain demitasse cup and saucer was produced in Austria by the Franz Dorfl porcelain decorating shop around 1900. The saucer has a diameter of 4 inches and the cup is 2 1/2 inches high. The ground color is deep cobalt blue. It has an expertly hand painted scene of the classical Greek Goddess, Psyche, by a fountain. The set has ornate gilding accented with raised enamel. This pair of marked Guang Xu Period (1875~1908) Famille Rose plates are 1 inch deep and 6 ¾ inches in diameter. They depict a long-tail bird and butterfly in a flower garden. The workmanship is wonderful. The gold edging has worn off slightly. There is one small hairline crack in one plate and an old repair in the other one.

Lovely old charger done in sepia colors. Signed Graf and marked on the back "Der Salontirvler" with the Royal Rudolstadt mark and #7826 impressed in the center. The acorn border is decorated with raised gold. This beautiful charger is in perfect original condition and measures 14 1/2" in diameter.
