A Pair of antique, 19th-early 20th century, North African -Sahara, tribal Islamic, cast bronze saddle stirrups in Turkish Ottoman manner. Each with a flaring base plate narrowed at the center and decorated with a pierced designee on the center, flanked by shaped sides rising to an arch with loop for suspension.

1920s good size chosen matsu (Korean pine wood) netsuke of himono (dried fish). Well captured essence of the object, carved in characteristic Hida school style with clever use of wood color and structure to add to the charm of the piece. A truly marvelous silver plate round box on enameled stand, in the form of a nesting dove, France hallmark, classic Art Deco form with the often depicted dove.

No marks other than the stamped France mark, artist unknown, but is certainly designed with a fine artistic eye.

They are 1 inch (2.5 cm) tall by 6.5 inches (16.5 cm) wide. Total weight is 4 lb.
They have glaze cracks, glaze crazing, firing dark spots, loss of gold and paint, skip glazes, and surface wears and scratches. Six of the plates have firing cracks. One plate has chips and hairline cracks at the back (as seen in the photos).

A pair of small “utility” knives made by Iban people of Sarawak, East Malaysia. These were frequently carried in the sheaths of their larger brothers, the Dayak mandau. The blades are hand forged, possibly scavenged steel from the leaf springs form an old car. Circa last half of the 20th century.
