Turn-of-the-century Chinese silver mustard pot. Round and bellied bowl with plain concave neck, thin scroll handle, and spread foot. Modish floral ornament in form of chased and applied water lilies and pads heightened with engraving on stippled ground. Chinese marks. Very good condition.

This is a simple blue and white porcelain hand made spoon from 19th century China. It measures roughly 9.5 cm and is in good condition but may have minor chips. Makes a great conversation piece or decorative accent. I have several available.

Japanese late Meiji period bronze vase with silver inlaid bamboo decoration on the front. At the bottom of the back is the incised signature of the engraver Mitsunobu. The base reads "Kyoto Kuroda made." 6 1/8" high. Late 19th to early 20th century. Very good overall condition with a nice patina. The silver has not been polished. There is a vertical area on the back that feels slightly flattened, but is barely noticeable.

19th century Chinese snuff dish in a shape of a round saucer with gently concave surface, decorated on the outside with designs seen on ancient Chinese bronzes. Beautiful patina, old age lines, wonderful feel of age. Diameter 1 5/16 inches.

Chinese Export soup plate with scalloped rim, Qianlong, c 1745 – 65. The centre with peony and other flowers issuing from a rock, the border with small orchids and other scattered flowers, all in Famille Rose colours and gilt. The rim with a brown "protection" glaze. This bisque porcelain figure was produced in the mid 19th century. It has the initials L&M impressed in the base. We do not know the country of origin but it most likely is Continental. It is 10 1/2 inches high and the base has a diameter of 4 inches. It is made of unfired bisque porcelain. The piece depicts a sweet faced child holding a basket of fruit in one hand. There is a feeling of calmness and purity emanating from this figure. Condition: Excellent

Japanese antique large musha ningyo (samurai warrior doll) of the great epic hero, Minamoto no Yoshitsune. His handsome face is set in a determined expression, he is seated with sword and saihai (command baton). He wears a spiked helmut, armor and silk robe woven with dragons. Edo Period. Size: 26" high (to very tip of helmet)

Fine Pair of Chinese Tang Dynasty Painted Pottery Figures with Oxford TL Test

These fine pair of pottery figures, one male, one female, was made during the Tang Dynasty (AD 618 - 906). They are made from quite a high-fired creamy-coloured pottery. They are very finely modelled: note the detail of the clothing, hairstyle and facial features. The figures stand side by side, upright, in respectful poses each with their hands held together across their stomachs...

An interesting and rare Chinese teapot of conventional bullet form with flanged lid with foo dog finial decorated in a combination of opaque famille rose enamels and translucent famille verte enamels probably dating from the earliest period in the development of the “famille rose palette circa 1720-1725. The subject is that of Li Bai, the famous Tang poet and imbiber of fine wines. Here pictured in one of his famous escapades dressed as a scholar riding a donkey accompanied by a page...

Small funeral mirror, of circular shape, decorated in relief with two tigers. Traces of the original gilding. Bronze, with fine age patina. China, Jin Dynasty. Diameter: 7.1 cm. Very good condition. 19th century Edo period Japanese sword bronze kashira (metal pommel at the end of the hilt of a sword) with inlaid silver decoration of 2 cranes in flight. Wonderful design in Japanese taste, beautifully made piece, excellent crisp work with gilding to their claws, in great condition. Length 1.35 inches.

Antique Japanese Nabeshima ware bowl with scalloped rim to resemble a lotus, with blue cobalt florals designs along the outside and "comb" style design along the foot. A Korean brass bowl on a high foot and a brass box of the type that was used to decorate a family altar when worshiping their ancestors. The bowl was used to hold burning incense, and the incense was stored in the box. The bowl measures about 6" high x 6" in diameter and the box measures about 2" high x 3" in diameter, and both date to the early 20th Century. The conditions are excellent with some wear, and the pieces are polished as it was the custom to keep them shiny...
