An exquisite lacquered box covered in gold powder prominently bearing the imperial crest given as a gift to Baron Nakamura Satoru in Meiji 44 (1911). An antique Spode stone china covered bowl with transfer and hand painted designs in the Imari palette featuring floral motifs in the Chinese style. These wonderful early ceramic pieces are a treat to find, and often bear evidence of their 200 years of life, and this one is no different. A very large and rare unique lacquer panel screen with a variety of stone carvings of Quanyin and Her Disciples. The carved gold leaf panels most likely depict the life of the owner. The back of the panel has a beautiful painting of bamboo and birds. See Last photo. The panel is made into six parts that are interlocked together.

Since Satsuma printed porcelain have got a great reputation
at Expo 1867 in Paris, Satsuma brand has been very popular in Europe.The specialization on making body and printing has been going on in early Meiji period, the bodies was made in Satsuma area Kagoshima pref.and was printed in Yokohama or
Kyoto and so on.
This piece was printed at Chindo workshop in Yokohama.
It has sophisticated patterns of mainly fishes.
And there is a tiny chip repaired on the edge.

A very fine English Queen Anne Satinwood and Marquetry Tea Caddy, circa 1750. The case fitted with beautiful Lion Head hardware on either end and trimmed with contrasting woods. The interior with fitted double tea safes and an ornate cut crystal mixing glass and original key. Measuring 8” in height, 12.5” in length,and 6.5” deep.

These little handmade Civil War era dolls are some of my favorite. This one has on a heavy satin dress with a brown egg wash chintz cotton petticoat. she has a net bonnet adorned with a white ribbon over real hair. She is wearing the tiniest metal eye glasses I have ever seen. She has little rolled arms and a stump body that never had legs. Her dress is melting a bit above her waist and there is a crack in the nut shell but an old one and it is hard to see because she is so small...

celebration. Just a wonderful grouping: a chanter, flute player, two hand
drummers and a floor drummer, each with an expressive and well-modeled
face, finely carved fingers and hands in precise gestures for their
individual instruments, sumptuous silk brocade costumes, short swords,
silk fiber hair, and large inset glass eyes. They are of the finest quality. 7 inches, 18 cm tall.

The ring with a thick ring and oval bezel, which is engraved with an interesting relief engraving of structures or perhaps an ancient form of writing.
