Applied iris flowers with loose and crisscrossing tendrils and stems in eddying water. Foot has cutout flower heads and engraved wraparound tendrils. Gorgeous period motif on spot-hammered ground. German silver figural dog stirrup cup, ca 1920. Cast bust of spaniel with long snout, resolutely closed mouth, and direct, concentrated gaze as well as floppy ears and thick fur. Mounted to plain and upward tapering bowl. A loyal hunt companion. Marked with maker’s stamp “Föhr” (probably, Eduard Foehr) and old-fashioned “13” (that is, 13/16 loths or 812 silver). Boat: Ovoid bowl with scrolled helmet mouth, and leaf-capped high-looping double-scroll handle; raised foot. Stand: Rectilinear with scrolled corners and oval well. Fine Japanese 18th Century Moulded Arita Blue & White Porcelain Bowl

This attractive moulded porcelain bowl with an iron-brown edged foliate rim was made during the 18th century. The underglaze blue decoration of very good colour features three human figures in a garden. Around the outer wall is an elaborate scrolling design.

Diameter 13 cm. It is in fine condition with no repair or restoration and a good ring when tapped.

Large Japanese 18th/19th Century Blue & White Porcelain Dish / Platter

This large porcelain dish is attractively decorated in underglaze blue, the design featuring pagodas and a blossoming tree in a rocky landscape. The flat surround of the dish is decorated with a moulded cross-hatch pattern and it has a foliate rim edged in iron-brown. To the base are the typical firing spur marks.
