Antique Chinese monochrome porcelain vase with dripping Flambé (Jingdezhen Jun) glaze. Because the glaze effect is made by the combining of various colors and thus the fusing of different minerals, it is also called Transmutation glaze. Developed through the Yongzheng emperor's interest in antiquities, this type of glazed vessel was often commissioned by the court of Beijing. Made of silk. Two panels with very fine embroidery of a dragon and a phoenix, with lots of gold thread. The other panels with simple flower patterns. Some of them with gilt brass bells at the bottom. 19th century kagamibuta (mirror lid) netsuke with multimetal disc worked in low relief scene of a man drawing water from a well, his wooden bucket next to him. Excellent crisp work, wonderful face, gilding, inlaid copper bucket, great patina. Beautifully turned marine material (walrus tusk) bowl with excellent patina. Disc diameter 1 5/16 inches, bowl diameter 1 7/8 inches.

Antique silver acorn earrings are wonderful and easy to wear. The acorn is a symbol of hope and was often used in heraldry. Earrings measure 1 5/8" long and 3/4" at their widest.
A Japanese boxwood netsuke depicting Hotei 布袋, one of the Seven Gods of Good Luck, seated with his fan in his hands and a child embracing him.
Hotei's face is plump, smiling, and conveys a sense of peace and tranquility. He is commonly referred to as the protector of children.

Splendid Lanna Thai Wooden Buddha with original gilding seated on an elaborately decorated throne. Very serene/calm expression. The Buddha is seated in the Vajrasana position with the right hand in the gesture of touching the Earth (bhumisparsa mudra) and the left hand rests in the gesture of meditation (dhyana mudra).
Fine and rare example of Northern Thai Buddhist art which displays an elegant smartness and is well proportioned. Excellent condition and beautiful patina, no restorations...

Pearlware cup and saucer decorated with a silver resist (platinum) border of vines within thin red lines. As a cheaper alternative to luxury silver services and to avoid tarnishing, platinum on porcelain was used in the early 19th century. Silver resist or silver lustre wares were produced mainly in Staffordshire, before silver-plated metals took over the market. This cup and saucer was made around 1820 and is unmarked. Hanging scroll. Various insects walking in line with luggage, simulating a lord (daimyo) traveling with his entourage to or from the capital (samurai or daimyo gyoretsu). A butterfly, suzumushi, praying mantises, yellow jackets and grass hoppers are traveling in a line, holding flowers and grasses for keyari, carrying a honeycomb for a palanquin, and berries for luggage.

An antique Meiji Period two sectional tansu made from kiri wood with iron hardware. The top section has two large drawers. The bottom section has two medium size drawers and on the right side a door with lock. Behind the door are two smaller drawers. And below one small drawer.
It originates from the Yamagata tansu district of Japan in the Tohoku northern Japan region.

Chinese porcelain rice bowl with a matching footed lid, decorated with red snarling dragons, surrounded by pink and blue puffs of smoke and red embers. The lid's top has pink flowers with pretty twisting vines, and around the bottom of the bowl is a blue-green wave pattern. The lid and bowl have marks that read "Da Qing Guangxu Nian Zhi" (1875-1908).
