A very unusual large dish of conventional European metal form with a Kraak style fuyo-de pattern partially executed in underglaze blue the remainder painted in enamels. The central reserve decorated with hemp palms, shura, and cyclads, sotetsu, next to a body of water framed by a border of brocade lapets in enamels...

This is a fabulous rare piece of Japanese Cloisonne. It is not signed but it could have easily been made Hayashi, Kinuken, or Miwa. It stands inches 6 inches tall and is in excellent condition.

Chinese Neolithic Hongshan Culture small jade carving of a pig dragon (zhulong) used as a burial object. The dragon is curled in an "embryonic" position. The bottom portion is carved in the form of an insect with large protruding eyes. The dragon portion of the jade is mottled green while the bottom portion is orange in color being closer to the outer rind of the jade stone.

Japanese hand-forged iron tsuba, used to protect a swordsman's hand from sliding up the blade during use as well as to provide balance. The openwork tsuba depicting two sages, their robes accented in gilt, one sage with a face of silver and the other with a face of copper. The front image is signed 'Soheishi Nyudo Soten' , the other side reads 'Goshu Hikone ju' (resides in Goshu-current Shiga prefecture).

A 17/18th Century Chinese Polychrome Painted Stucco Figure of an Immortal, superbly modeled with flowing robes and wearing a necklace with a pendant. Statue is attached to a Pink Base with backing. Some traces of gilding remain. Item in left hand is missing. Good overall condition, natural aging/wear over the period. Size: 28.5 cm. height. Weight: 2.3 kilos. An exceptionally rare turquoise-glazed porcelain vase or flask made in the Jingdezhen kilns, Jiangxi province,China, during the reign of the Kangxi emperor (1662-1722). The neck is decorated with upright plantain leaves, each shoulder with styalized lotus scroll design and applied buddhistic lion head. The central panels front and back feature the Hehe Erxian - the twin Immortals of Union and Harmony - one holding a basket from which has been released a bat, in flight amongst clouds...

A set of 4 Chinese Qianlong tea bowls and saucers. These period porcelain blue and white 1-5/8" high cups and 4-5/8" saucers date from 1736-95, and this set has a central scene on the saucers and the outside of the cups, decorated borders, and interior flowers in the cups. All pieces are unmarked, and they are in good condition with no losses, damage or repairs other than a 1/16" rim flake to the glaze on one cup and roughness and glaze flakes to the rims of all of the saucers...

Decorated with unusually beautiful calligraphy advertising cosmetics with words like 艶 tsuya "luster/gloss/sheen" and 白粉 Oshiroi which literally means "white powder"; the powder foundation worn by kabuki actors and especially by geisha and their maiko apprentices...

19th century small Chinese porcelain water dish in fan shape with vertical sides for use in a cricket cage. The inside is painted in underglaze blue with a fish among seaweed. Wonderful quality uninhibited painting, beautiful glaze with tiny bubbles, paste with typical blemishes. Very quiet subtle piece for scholar’s studio. Length 1 9/16 inches.
