This is a pair of Qing dynasty blue and white flowers motive jar. There are crab apple tree, chrysanthemum and peony plants painted on the jar. On the shoulder of the jar, a band with four sections are painted with lotus flower. The vase is luted together horizontally in two parts as shown in picture no 5. The circa. of this jar is 18th century.

A very large ceramic box in the shape of a peach that was used to decorate the ancestral altar. Such boxes were used to hold trinkets, precious offerings, and maybe incense when worshiping ones' ancestors. The inside of the box is divided and sealed with a green glaze. Midsize storage jar, tsubo. Greyish brown stoneware, with the typical white stone inclusions, partially bursting out through the surface. The ashes in the wood burning kiln settled during the firing onto the surface of the pot and melted, creating the beautiful brownish yellow ash glaze. This is a natural process that cannot be controlled by the potter beyond the decision of placement within the kiln.

A very fine Nailsea-Stourbridge green bottle glass paperweight with a foiled flower pot design. A large central petunia-type flower arises on a slender stem from the well-formed pot, and is surrounded with two additional circlets of smaller flowers, four to each layer. Rare antique Japanese tansu chest from Takayama city in the Hida region of Gifu Prefecture. Made of hinoki (Japanese cypress) wood with orangish lacquer finish. Iron hardware includes scalloped drawer corners and round lock plates on the three small drawers which line the upper portion of the chest.
