Large cast iron teapot. Very elegant decoration of Mon and stylized flowers. Seems very old to me perhaps ealier than Edo. Datation of iron is difficult. The bottom is broken and glued with resin. It is not usable for tea anymore.

Cast iron teapot. Very deep decoration. Nice quality of cast iron. Unusual interesting decoration, meticulous details (fineness of the dragon ties of the handle). Signed in relief on the back and under the lid. Difficult to date. Meiji or Edo ? only the translation of the signature could tell us the artist and the period. The handle inlaid with plants in silver.

The sides are decorated with large flowering plants in 3 cartouches, in the 4th there is nothing. I think there must have been a lacquer pattern in high relief, which has ,today,disappeared...

This is a Japanese antique child kimono of natural indigo dye hand Yuzen-dyed on handspun, in Edo period. There is a slight slight stain, but it is not noticeable. Tang/Five Dynasties, stoneware jar with light olive green glaze and reddish clay body. The foot is rimless and concave. There is a “Jun” type glaze run on the body noted in enlargements- probably unintentional but interesting nonetheless. I have done simple repair on the mouth by filling a shallow chip and applying a layer of gold leaf. H: 12cm/4.8in and D: 9cm/3.5in.

Antique Japanese porcelain kogo (incense box). Round in form and flat on top. Glazed with a lovely crackled white ground and two blue butterflies, one on the lid and one on the side where the two pieces join. Signed "Taisuiken" on the inside of the lid. With original tomobako.

Very unusual late 19th century Japanese lacquer small table screen decorated on both sides with tsuba (Japanese sword guards). Excellent clever work with different lacquer colors and textures imitating rusting iron and cleaner silvery surfaces of different tsuba. Beautiful carved textured surface of the rest of the screen with lower layer of red lacquer and upper layer of tan colored one. Wonderful patina, in excellent condition. Height 6 7/8 inches (17.5 cm), maximum length 10 inches (25 cm).
Rather unusual late Qing Dynasty (1890s to 1911) small scholar’s rock in a form of anthracite nugget on dark hardwood stand. Very unusual material for a scholar’s rock - anthracite is type of coal of a hard variety that contains relatively pure carbon. Rich black surface, natural lines in the material, in great condition. Height with stand 1 5/8 inches, stone length 1 7/8 inches, stand length 3 inches.
19th century Chinese chess piece (I assume it to be a bishop) carved as a Chinese official wearing richly decorated robe and holding a fly-whisk. Made for export, superb carving with portrait quality face and excellent depiction of swirling leaves and vines decoration of his robe. Stained red, some chips as can be seen on photos, overall in great condition. Height 2 11/16 inches.

The hip-length coat of mail made of riveted rings, with a short back slit and long sleeves. Three fish-shaped buckles are riveted onto the two large, integrated plates in the chest area. Two narrower plates attached at each of the sides, followed by three rows of overlapping discs on the back. The outside of the right breastplate bearing a long inscription in Hindi, the inside bears a shorter in Devangari, on the left an inscription in arabic.
