Beautifully made out of dense wood allowing for fine teeth, very good lacquering, wonderful work in Japanese taste, wear and loss as can be seen on photos. Length 4.05 inches.

Late Meiji period (1890s 1912) Japanese buffalo horn kushi (hair comb) with lacquer decoration of a Manchurian crane in flight, design continuing on both sides. Nicely made, good work in Japanese taste, some losses and insect damage as seen on photos. Length 3.92 inches. Part of East Coast collection of Japanese hair items.

Offered together are two collectible golf clubs from different makers.

The first one is a handsome club stamped "THOS. E. WILSON & Co." HAND FORGED and SPADE MASHIE. It dates to the early 1930s shortly after hickory shafted clubs transitioned to metal shafts. The club head is artfully paired with a "BRISTOL" labeled painted steel shaft and completed with a handsome leather grip. The club measures 36.5 inches from the heel to the end of the grip...

Pretty late Victorian porcelain child's cup. One side has a polychrome transfer image of a playful dog, while the other shows another dog with a blue ribbon around his neck. The rim and handle are decorated with gilt bands. Porcelain cups such as these were prized by Victorian children. The bottom is marked "Germany".

Origin: Germany, ca 1900. Condition: excellent, no chips or cracks, light wear to gilding at rim. Size: 2-3/16" tall.

Late 19th century Korean silver coffee spoon with recessed enamel yin/yang symbol surrounded by 4 trigrams from I Ching, the whole design representing the Korean flag. Excellent crisp work, in very good condition, hallmarked in Korean on the stem. Length 5 inches.

Sterling silver sugar spoon in Whiting's 1891 "Louis XV" pattern. The spade-shaped bowl is slightly scalloped at the neck for decorative appeal. The back is stamped with Whiting's hallmark, the patent date (indicating an older piece) and the retailer's mark "A. Stowell & Co." (Baltimore).

Origin: American, circa 1890s. Condition: excellent, very light wear, no monogram. Size: 6" long.

The size of Dish: 5 1/4" Dia x 1 3/16". Japanese Ko Imari Porcelain Dish. The dish has pretty Sakura(cherry blossoms) design on the side wall with gold and red. There is Fan and Karakusa motif, plus square landscape design with Fuji Mountain, pine tree, and plover birds design. It is rather simple yet it has classy looking design by using nice composition. The condition of dish excelelnt, no chip, no crack and no hairline...

A 7-1/2" German or Austrian porcelain hand painted figurine of a bugler. This mid to late 19th century figure features fine hand painting with gold, orange, blue, tan and realistic flesh colours; it is in a style similar to Heubach figures, but many European factories of this period were producing such figures, and it has a shiny rather than matte glaze...

Japanese green Glass Ojime, 3/4" diameter, large holes on tops and the bottom where cord go through to tightening for Netsuke. There are some indentations on the glass surface.

Two(2) Chinese underglaze Blue and White Sauce Dishes, Ca. 1920, 3 5/8" diameter, 1" high, very free design underglaze Blue floral and vine design in the center, Chinese Character marking on high footed bottom. One(1) sauce dish has very tight glaze hairline 3/4" long, impossible to show in the photos. The other sauce dish is in good condition.

A Dutch Delft blue and white wall tile hand painted with a rabbit seated and eating. The animal is surrounded by a circle of a wavy line with dots in the wave troughs. Flowers fill the corners. It is 5 1/8 inches (13 cm) square about ½ inch (1.2 cm) tall. The red clay sides are beveled so that the back is slightly smaller than the front...
