A finely engraved Hyksos scarab, 17th.-16th. cent. BC.

The scarab is engraved with robe pattern in the center and with other hieroglyphs to each side, untranslated.

The seat of power of the Hyksos kings was the city of Avaris in the Nile Delta, from where they ruled over Lower Egypt and Middle Egypt up to Cusae.

Size: 19 x 13,5 mm.

Condition: Nice Very fine and completely intact with remnants of torquise glaze in the devices.

Mayan Decorated Cylinder. 10 ¼” x 4 1/4” Circa 600 A.D. – 900 A.D. A tall, polychrome decorated vase having a wide center band two large Moan birds, a sea shell. Upper band of well developed, painted glyphs. Wide lower band containing four large circlular elements. Repaired from several large original pieces. Some areas of root marks minor paint loss. A set of three Chinese Ming Dynasty pottery tomb figures of house attendants / gardeners. The figures date to Ming Dynasty - 1368-1644 AD.

The set consists of three figures clad in dark blue robes and hats. Each figure seems to be holding or carrying something for his master. A group of sturdy fellows, by the looks of them. All placed on square plints.

Size: the figures measure 22-23 cm. in height.

Condition: Choice condition with very minor wear and losses...

Thai 14th-15th Century Sawankhalok, Ayutthaya period, glazed ovoid shaped bottle flanked by two small ring ear handles at shoulder, and glazed in olive green celadon tones with horizontal linear markings. Nice shiny gloss to glaze falls short of base. Note slight chipping of glaze on one side. Height is 5 inches.

A pretty Victorian mercury glass vase in rare peacock blue. The surface is frosted and enhanced with painted decoration of fuchsias an autumnal colors. Some areas of the background are left unfrosted for a nice contrast. Blue is a very unusual color for mercury glass pieces.
