This is Fukusa used in Kyoto for Edo period. It is very beautiful fukusa.This has a line of delicate Tsutsugaki and embroidery and a delicate sumi painting. This is produced by a bold design. This exceptional teapot is from the Staffordshire region of England from the very early 19th century, reasonably dated c. 1800 and attributed to the New Hall factory. These surround a rectangular support frame topped with a woven mat seat. Below the seat an elaborately carved skirt stretches between thick, boldly carved legs...

Offered is this beautiful lamp with an iridescent glass shade and a metal base, that in all likelihood, was made by Loetz. Overall, the lamp is 22 1/2 inches (57 cm) tall, while the shade is 11 1/2 inches (29 cm) wide. Except for a few rim-chips that are typical of these old lamp shades (hidden while the shade is in place - the largest one shown in picture), the glass is in good condition...

Antique Japanese merchant's chest (choba tansu), made of sugi (cryptomeria) wood with dark red lacquer finish, 4 exterior drawers and safe box with 2 small interior drawers, beautiful heavy iron hardware including elaborate bracing on front frame, wooden bracing on sides and back, from the Mikuni area, Edo Period (late 18th/early 19th century). Offered is this beautiful French Pate de Verre glass figurine, made by Amalric/Almeric Walter, around 1920. The figurine was designed by Henri Berge. The figurine is 4 3/4 inches (12 cm) long and 2 3/4 inches (7 cm) tall at the chick's tail. It is in fine condition. It is signed, 'A Walter Nancy' and 'Berge SG' (see pictures). It is a genuine antique/vintage Walter piece and not a modern Romanian reproduction piece.

Rather unusual late 19th century Chinese scholar’s rock made out of a piece of amber. Did not photograph well. Wonderfully translucent when held against light, can be viewed from several sides and conveys a very good feeling of a weathered surface of a mountain. There is an internal energy in the piece - a combination of shape, texture and color of the material. Very nice rosewood fitted stand. Excellent object for scholar’s table. Height with stand 2 3/4 inches.

Edo Period Japanese woodblock print by Kunisada II (1823-1880) depicting kabuki actors dating 1865. The cartouche at the upper left bears the title of the series and the names of the actors. The signature of the artist, publisher's seal and censor's/date seal are located at the upper right. Measures 14 1/2"V x 10 1/8"H. Very good overall condition. The print is not backed and the baren marks and image are clearly visible on the back. No tape or tape stains...
