Historic patriotic signet ring of iron, given by the Austro Hungarian military to the soldiers who fought on behalf of the Austro-Hungarian empire during WWI. The crest on the coat of arms is a crown signifying the monarchy (soon to collapse, following WWI). Below the crest is an inscribed "E" (not certain what the E signifies). 19th Century, nicely hand-carved Ebony Netsuke depicting Ama, the Diving and Fisher Girl, standing with a basket on her back, accepting the advances of the amorous Octopus that is enveloping her legs with its tentacles and placing one of them in her private parts. The netsuke is unsigned. It measures 0.75 inches (1.9cm) wide, and 2.68 inches (6.8cm) tall. It is in excellent conditon, as may be seen in the posted photos.

This porcelain oyster plate was produced in France by Haviland & Co. Limoges. The mark was used between 1876-1880. It measures 8 3/4 inches in diameter. The plate has 6 wells with salt compartment in the center. The decorations are a factory transfer that is hand colored. The ground color is pale green. An assortment of sea creatures and plant life are scattered around the surface of the plate. The colors are vivid and the shape is interesting. Condition: Excellent

Lid is carved with a scene of two elderly sages in a rocky landscape with trees and a bridge. The sides are carved overall with a diamond pattern. The interior and base are lacquered black. Some minor age cracks and retouched chips to the interior rim, minor retouching of red lacquer to the rims of the lid and box bottom. General wear—all consistent with and indicative of its age.

Late Meiji (1890s - 1910s) Japanese hammered copper incense burner - tripod with wide body, flaring mouth and 3 short feet. Wonderful object made by hammering a chunk of copper, raising it and giving it shape - no casting is involved. Fantastic clean gently curving organic form with beautifully hammered surface and superb reddish patina, very pleasant to the touch. Signed JUZAN on the bottom, beautiful object for scholar’s desk. Height 2 1/4 inches, diameter 3 7/8 inches at the widest.

A lovely bright olive green vase with molded ribbed blocking and cold-gilt gold and platinum decoration depicting thistles. The gilding is of very fine quality and has almost an Aesthetic Movement appearance. The vase uses a cased construction of various layers of clear and colored glass typical of Moser. The bottom is finished with a concave polished pontil and is marked with the form/decoration code “Q/195”.

An unusual and rare Arita Chawan and cover in late 18th century Qianlong Canton high footed style decorated with an "over the wall" "guogianzhi" pattern of a four toed Chinese dragon. Its full body obscured by the rim and continued in the interior of bowl and under the dish cover. Similar patterns appear on Chinese porcelain dating from the Yongzheng period...

Stylish Victorian sterling silver tray. Made by Tiffany & Co. in New York. Round and plain well. Wide rim with low-relief border in form of imbricated leaves or chevrons. A beautiful and stately lead metal English Georgian two knop wine goblet with an MSAT (multiple-spiral air twist) stem. The large pointed round funnel bowl sits atop the stem which has an inverted baluster shoulder knop and a medial knop.
