This early 20th century large export carved ivory goddess of mercy (GuanYin) is 18” high (with carved wood stand it is 20 ½” high), 4” wide and 3” thick (measured from the base). Her right hand holds a branch of willow leaves; her left hand carries a basket filled with lotus blossoms. A phoenix is standing on her side and a tiny sitting Buddha with a fire halo is in her dark, braided hair. There is an honorable Qian Long mark carved on the bottom. It is in excellent condition.

Early 19th century lacquered wood netsuke of a boy climbing onto a huge double gourd. Nice subject (most probably a reference to a rebus), excellent face with a wide smile. Wood is lacquered in Negoro style - red lacquer over black, so as it wears the black and later wood start showing. Wear consistent with age, wonderful patina. Length 1.85 inches.

A Song dynasty longquan celadon bowl, bowl decorated with ribbing rising lotus petal motif at the outer wall, covered with green glaze. Bowl is in good condition no damage no chip no restoration, crackled glaze at the surface.15,2cm diameter.

Very well crafted Chinese carved jadeite deer; sitting beneath a fruiting peach tree; some apple green coloration, late 19th/early 20th century period. Size; Height of carving is 3 3/4 inches, no condition issues noted.

This is a genuine Ming Chenghua ( 1465 - 1487 ) minyao blue and white " ducks " dish. This rare piece has the wonderful watery blue, the honey white body and the extremely nice silky glaze, which is all typical for the genuine Chenghua pieces. A really extremely nice kollector piece in nice kondition - there only is one single minute chip. The dish is also very well painted at the back site in a typical Chenghua design ! D : 6,7 inc.

19th century wooden netsuke of two heads of reishi fungus with an inlaid slug crawling over the top of the lower fungus. Superb elegant naturalistic carving with excellent depiction of fungus texture as well as antennae and soft skin of the invertebrate. Back in the days when pills were made by hand, a pill rounder such as this (sometimes called a pill finisher), was used to create perfect pill spheres via use of a circular or figure-8 motion. The pill then would be dusted with powder, ready for dispensing by the apothecary.

Made of light-colored fruitwood (treen), this handsome tool of the trade has two different recessed depths used to finish or create, two different diameter pills.

Chinese Export Blue and White Porcelain Canton design covered deep serving Tureen or Dish, Ca. 1800-1820, 5 1/2" high, 9 1/4" x 8 1/4" wide, with cut corner shape, Pine Cone knob on top, very nice soft underglaze blue decorated with Pavillion on lakeside, Sampan floating next to bridge, willow tree and pagoda on the other side of the lake. Inside the underglaze blue decoration is slightly darker than top of the cover, all hand painted underglaze blue design...
