An antique Japanese Kiri Kasane Tansu (stacking chest on chest) made of Kirinoki (Paulownia) and Suginoki (Cryptomeria) woods. All original finish and hand made iron fittings. Two small drawers behind the small hinged door. Hidden behind the bottom small drawer is a secret pull-out box that was used to store valuables by the original Japanese owner of this chest.

A set of six hand painted porcelain plates with floral bouquets in the well and a gold band around the edge. The mark of KPM with the initials and the scepter in underglaze blue was used from 1837 to 1844. The size would indicate that they are dessert plates, though they are deeper than most. They are 7 inches diameter (18 cm) and 1 inch (2.5 cm) deep.

Condition: excellent, no chips, cracks, hairlines or repairs. Showing only some evidence of light use...

A rare crusie lamp with hanger, dating from the 1st quarter of the 19th century or earlier. The bowls of these lamps were filled with fish oil or mutton fat with wicks of peeled rushes. Crusie lamps were the precursors to Betty lamps and were generally made of iron or tin. To find one made of brass, and with its original hanger, is extremely uncommon.

The condition of the lamp and hanger is quite good, with normal evidence of wear...

This romantic Georgian Natural Pearl Forget Me not Ring would have been given as a love ring back in its day. It evokes the forget-me-not with its 5 well matched pearls radiating about a central diamond. Besides the forget me not arrangement of the pearls, a coiled serpent curls around each side of the ring, the snake's head appearing at the bottom of the ring on one side and at the top of the ring on the other. A small diamond resides at the center of the pearls in a cut down collet setting...
