and Autumn plants below narrower bands of circles, the exterior of the bowl inlaid with
a pair of white slip inlaid rings, some celadon glaze applied unevenly on the exterior with
some sand traces on the foot rim...
Chinese export porcelain model of Zhang Guolao, one of the eight Taoist immortals. He is holding a bamboo drum and riding on a mule. Dating to the late Qianlong period. With later wooden stand. Condition: fine, except the inserted ears of the animal are lost. Dimension: 22.5 cm high x 16.2 cm long (without stand).
The Katchushi style of this tsuba gives it an earlier look and feel. But it is probably an Edo period work (might expect more wear on the seppa-dai or more conspicuous tekkotsu on an older example.) The thin body nonetheless resilient. Strong, sparse, decorative file marks on the vertical add to character. Adept use of the file, thin plate and slight taper toward the rim could support argument a swordsmith may have made the tsuba...
A rare, heavy and very finely potted pair of bottle vases well decorated with stylized lotus flowers in underglaze blue with Doucai style overglaze enamel decoration. The base carries a tributory four character Kangxi (1662-1722) reign mark but this item was made later - during the reign of the Guangxu emperor (1875-1908)...
19th century netsuke carved as a group of four seals - two of simpler shapes, one in a shape of a natural lotus flower stem (the stem serving as himotoshi), and one with shishi finial. Elegant design in Japanese taste, bottoms are carved with raised and sunken characters in seall script and stained to resemble real seals - one of them could be a signature of the carver. Possibly made for a silk merchant - the seals resemble actual chops used for stamping silks...

Jar or bottle vase has a low neck with a flaring mouth and a spherical body supported on a footring. The mouth’s edge is clear glazed, showing the buff-white body. Glazed with a russet-brown rust glaze suffused with silvery-black flecks, that depending on the light, can yield tones from a metallic red-brown to silvery-purple. The footring is unglazed revealing a warm, buff-white porcelain body. Good condition, with no damages...

A beautiful set of four c1775 English wine glasses, engraved with a scene of horsemen, hounds, foxes, and a house, the lower part of the ogee bowls cut and the stems with facet cutting.
The glasses are 5 1/8" tall, with a bowl diameter of 2", and a generous 2 3/4" foot diameter. Condition is excellent, with no chips, cracks, or repairs. Good color and striations, and a rough, snapped pontil

Japanese 2 panel byobu screen painting on silk, of a male and female deer resting below a maple tree. Each panel is bordered in gold leaf and signed "Kagayama Hakuho" with a red chop.
Kagayama Hakuho (1880-?) was born in the Okayama Prefecture Japan. His studies continued under Takeuchi Seiho in Kyoto, and later moved to Kobe for his work. Works by Hakuho have been displayed at the Kyoto City University of Art.

Japanese scroll painting with a figure of Manjusri in the center of a circular chart below which sits a fu-dog; the very bottom of the scroll has numerous signatures and seal marks. The waves along the border of the circle indicate that this is a Sea-Crossing Manjusri (Tokai Monju). The text within the circle indicates that the painting comes from the Matsumoto castle in the Shinano province (the Nagano prefecture in central Japan)...
