Unusually large 18th century or earlier Japanese sword iron tsuba with pierced decoration of three dragons fighting among scrolling vines. Antique Philippine barong sword with carved wooden handle and inlaid scabbard. The single sided leaf-shaped blade is attached to a hardwood handle with silver and natural fibers. The scabbard (taguban) is carved of wood, wrapped with rattan and has shell inlay in elaborate Islamic filigree. From the predominately Islamic Sulu Islands of Southern Philippines.

Banded mochaware bowl in blue and brown. Very nicely formed, with a crisply shaped foot rim. The rim has one 1" hairline, and there is some discoloration to the interior (note that the discoloration visible near the rim is actually very thick bluish glaze, and not staining), but otherwise the bowl is in very good condition. 6-3/8" diam; 3-1/8" high.

Chinese hinged triple snuff or medicine bottle made of silver. One side depicting immortals, the reverse with Chinese characters. The stoppers worked en suite, two bottles with spoon. A superb quality large pottery figure of a male attendant or official, dating to the Ming Dynasty, 1368-1644.

The figure is placed on a high hexagonal plint and wears a fine two-colour blue and turquoise glazed robe. The unglazed areas have pigmented colors in red, black and white. Finely painted facial details.

The head is attachable as often seen on the largest figures from this period.
