An impressive bronze rain drum, weighing 16 kilograms, Dong Son culture, 1st. millenium AD.

A fine Heger 1 type bronze drum with a 12 ray star in the center and concentric panels of circles, points, triangles, comb and saw teeth decoration on the tympanum. The drum is very early and perhaps even ancient and is without the later frogs etc. seen on the drums of the Karen tribe. 2 handles in each side.

A very rare Yuan - Ming dynasty longquan celadon large vase, rounded side with globular body and unglazed base, celadon vase around the belly decorated with incised peony scroll motif, lower part with vertical ribbing, the trumpet part has been cut down and covered with metal mount, covered with nice bluish green tone celadon glaze.
Vase is in good condition with cut down neck and metal mounted.
Size: 48 cm height, and with wooden stand and cover would be 63 cm height.

This is Chuya-Obi used for Edo period. In Chuya-Obi, one side is twill fabrics, and other aspects are black satin. As for this, the basics of twill fabrics are dyed with a natural indigo plant. And a thread dyed with other plant dye is interwoven. The black satin side has 2.3 places of split points. The twill fabrics side has some stains, but does not stand out. An antique Japanese Choba (merchant) Tansu, constructed of hinoki (cypress) natural finish wood. With hand-forged iron hardware and plates. The Choba has iron handles, lock plates, a pair of sliding doors and three drawers in the middle, a pair of sliding doors with slats at the bottom, and a corner bottom safe box with three drawers inside and a small secret drawer.
