Rare Chinese Han Dynasty Painted Pottery Bowl with Spoon
This rare pottery bowl with spoon was made during the Western Han Dynasty (206 BC - AD 8). Both are made from a fairly high-fired grey pottery and quite "heavily-potted" with the inner surfaces cold-painted in red pigment. Antique Japanese hand-colored photograph of two beautiful young ladies in a garden. One uses a bamboo ladle to scoop water from a fountain. The other stands on the path behind her. Tall bamboo fences and manicured pants enclose the scene.

Small shrine with the esoteric Buddhist figure of the Fudo Myōō who personifies Dainichi Nyorai. He is standing on a rock pedestal – symbol of his steadfastness - with a rope in his left hand and formerly with a sword in his right hand (broken off and missing). Behind him a flaming red mandorla. The patterns on his garment and his jewelry painted delicately in gold and mineral colors.

German Rococo 830 silver bowl, ca 1900. Round well with rosebud-gathering cherubs in relief. Sides tapering with scrolled and wavy rim. Heraldic shields with more cherubs and flower baskets as well as flower-strewn scrolled frames on pierced ground. Foot ring with scrolls and scallop shells. A fancy piece in the Hanau style. Marked. Very good condition with deep patina.
