Chinese Brass Lock and Key with Chinese Character signed inside, Ca. 1900 or before, outside measurement(3 1/4" long, 1 1/4" high, 7/8" deep, inside measurement(2 1/8" long, 3/8" high under stick, 7/8" deep), the round stick is 1/4" diameter, old age green patina or stain on brass, and in good working condition.
This very well made and hand painted vase is a 19th century product. It is 9 ½” high and 2 ¾” wide from the widest part. It depicts chrysanthemum and butterflies over a beige crackled body. There is a brocade pattern design on the top of the vase. The black hand-painted mark “Dai Nippon, Taizan Sei” is on the bottom. It is in great condition.
This is a lovely ancient Egyptian Scarab, more than 2,300 years old, from the famous Mitry collection (see our Homepage). It is 7/16” long (11 mm) and made of steatite, an easy-to-carve stone that hardens when heated. Scarabs empowered life and resurrection and were often placed under mummy wrappings to protect the body and help it resurrect. This Scarab comes in a jewelry display cup.
Large blue and white teacup of ogee shape and saucer bowl, in the Fitzhugh pattern. Chinese export porcelain from the early years of the 19th century, c 1810-20. Diameter of saucer "6 ¼ / 16 cm and of cup "4 ½ / 11 cm. Condition: the cup with two short hairlines and a nick to the mouth rim.

Exquisite and fine famille rose Mille Fleurs cup which known as thousand flowers with enamelled around the exterior with a dense composite floral pattern of blossoming peony, hibiscus, peony, chrysanthemum and narcissus below a gold rim, thinly and well balance potted. Qianlong seal mark to the base and possibly of the period. Condition is excellent, no any chip, no any crack and free from any restoration. Mouth Diameter: 9,5 cm and Height: 5,1 cm.

Japanese conical ichimonji gasa (military jingasa) with a gradually pointing top and unusual, wavy brim mimicking cloth material. Lacquered a deep brownish black with areas of red lacquer showing through in a negoro lacquer effect. The raised red lacquer mon is that of either the Katakura or the Matsukura Clan. The underside is lacquered in the same manner as the top except for a round red lacquer circle in the center...
One of the very best - mabe even the best Ming Minyao blue and white large dish seen whereever so far.
If anyone knows a better example, please show me.

Original example of a Japanese antique isho tansu from the Matsumoto area. Made all of kiri (paulownia) wood with original patina (frame, top, sides, and drawers). Iron hardware includes money bag shaped lock plates specific to Matsumoto tansu, moko shaped drawer pulls and elaborately cut handle back plates and drawer corner bracing. The tansu has 5 large drawers and the lower right hand side has a safe box with 2 small interior drawers.

Take a look on this rounded wan-shaped bowl. The light, sandy clay with enclosures is expertly thrown. Including the foot ring the bowl is covered with a mixed feldspar and ash glaze.
The light iron oxide in the clay produded a beautiful loquat color known from Korean Ido chawans...
These late 19th century Chinese Famille Verte ceramic bowls are 1 7/8” high and 5” in diameter. There are two green dragons chasing flame surrounded red globes on the outside the bowls. Inside the bowls, there is one globe with flames. There is an orange peach and lucky bat mark on the bottom of each bowl. Aside from some small hair line cracks due to their age and three tiny chips on one bowl due to the firing, they are in very good condition.
