Beautiful dark finished hardwood wardrobe from the 19th century. Huang huali wood. Brass hardware. The two drawers inside are fully functional with lock and key. Inset hinges. There are keys for the drawers and doors. It measures 77.25" tall X 49" wide X 21 3/8" deep.

A large Kansai area issho tansu made from keyaki and sugi woods. Copper handles are used on the sliding door panels and a special cabinet with a lock is set on the bottom area of the chest. Tansu such as these were often placed in the private quarters of the home and clothes, family documents, and important objects were placed inside. A Long Quan Celadon bowl Ming Dynasty. Diameter approximately 15 cm height 8 cm. 1 chip on the base and a 0.7 cm horizontal hair line in the middle of the rim. The interior/exterior freely carved with stylise foliate scrolls, in the center has floral carved, covered with olive green and crackle glaze. Good condition.

Antique Chinese beautifully carved altar cabinet, made of jumu wood, flanged top, the top portion has four drawers carved with flowers, the middle portion has two large compartments opened by four drawers on dowel hinges and carved with lions and flowers, the bottom portion has four drawers with no carving, late 19th century. Size: 37" high x 76 3/4" wide x 19 1/4" deep.

This 19th century deeply-carved small boxwood root brush holder (Bi Tong) is 5 ¼ inches high and 2 5/8 inches wide. The carver used the natural shape of the root to create a pine tree and plum blossom. The workmanship is great. The design, carving and polishing are all very well executed. The bottom was filled with softer wood. It is in excellent condition.

This 19th century Chinese bamboo armrest is carved with calligraphy. The carver Zi Qing dedicated this to his friend Zi Zhen. It is 9 1/8 inches long and 2 inches wide. It is in very good condition.
